House
This is the kind of MOC I would build if I had enough pieces.
About this creation
I have been absent from MOCpages for a long time. I am still an AFFOL though, I have not entered into my Dark Ages. I am just never home where my LEGO is because I'm in college so I haven't built anything in a long time. I am staying in my college town for the summer to take classes to get ahead in my major so I still can't build with my actual LEGO. However, now that it's summer and I'm not taking a full load of classes like I was during the school year, I do have time to build something on LDD on my computer occasionally. One of my classes that I'm taking right now actually can be applied to MOCpages because we're learning about Markup Languages like HTML and I can use it while creating pages. It's a math class so besides basic HTML we're learning how to type things like integral signs using MathML (note: MathML only works in Firefox and Chrome unless you have an add-on enabled in Internet Explorer or Safari):

∫010x2+x

Since I am learning HTML, I plan to use it to make my pages on here look better in the future.

Now, on to the actual MOC.

I actually started building this house back in November but then I didn't start working on it again until last week because I got really busy because of my first week of college finals and then second semester because I was taking a full load of classes. I worked on this house all of last week, taking my time, and trying to put as much detail into it as possible. It is my most ambitious LDD creation so far and I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Other LDD Creations

Over the last 10 months or so when I was absent from MOCpages, when I was bored, I sometimes tried building an old LEGO set on LDD using instructions from the internet, I might make a post of all of them if anyone's interested, but bear in mind that these are not my own creations. Building these were useful in learning where all of the pieces were in LDD though because they used a diverse assortment of pieces. Here's just a few of them:

375 Yellow Castle

The lizard from 4101 Wild Collection (I actually own this set)

4492 Star Destroyer

4996 Beach House (I actually own this set)

6071 Forestman's Crossing (my older cousin has this set but it doesn't have all of the pieces)

Building these and other sets also helped me learn how to use all of the tools in LDD which helps a lot when I build my own creations on LDD like this house. Besides being useful in familiarizing myself with LDD, it was kind of fun building sets that I've never gotten to build with actual LEGO bricks like the Yellow Castle.

I hope you enjoyed my first MOC in 10 months, hopefully it won't be another 10 months before I post again. When I go home in a little over a month, I'm going to try to make time to build something with actual LEGO pieces so I'll probably post something then, if not before.

Nice house, it's large and has some good detail both inside and out. There aren't that many advanced techniques in play but it's still a good build. Anyway, is it safe to assume that you are at WSU Pullman? I go to school at WSU-Tri Cities myself, and I think you are the first fellow Cougar I've seen on MOCpages.
