Marilyn
Iconic styles from the Fifties. Platinum blond hair, wide brim hats, and full swing skirts.
About this creation
I just love the styles from the Fifties. So much class. I also loved the movies from the Fifties too. I chose the name Marilyn for my figure because Marilyn Monroe was such an iconic actress of that era. Every woman who dyed her platinum blond became Marilyn. So with the wide brim hat and the swoop of the skirt, let the class begin.

Accessorize. Accessorize. What is a girl to do?

Wasn't there during the fifties, but I do have a vague idea of the fashion style back then. (Fan of Twilight Zone- 1959) The dress is so nicely patterned and shaped, and the accessories look great in tune to the style back then.

Quoting Henrik Jensen Marilyn is a lovely addition to your two stepdancers and the Lady in red & Black, they all represents a very Unique style, you can be proud of, Excellent!
A very nice compliment. I wonder if these little ladies would have been good enough for Brick World.

Nothing like a blonde bombshell to warm the heart! Something truly classy about a well tailored dress accessorized perfectly, just seems like an essential part of the beauty inside it. Great work once again, your style is a breathe of fresh air. Excellent!

Quoting Topsy Creatori Yah know... with that skirt's colors, geometry, and contrasting binding/edging, it's almost as if CoCo designed it! Nice! :)
Thanks Topsy. Let's pretend CoCo did design it.

Quoting LEGO DOUGHNUT(Sean Holway) vary well designed! i love the look of the hair and the skirt. My sister also really liked it when i showed it to her (she loves old styles and such).
Thank you. I guess the new styles of baggy pants and yoga pants do not measure up to the old styles that were incredibly well tailored. That includes hats, blouses (do we still call them that), skirts, jackets, and capris.

Quoting M<0><0>DSWIM ! I agree with what Tyler said: I guessed this was yours from the thumbnail! It's not easy developing your own style in Lego and this is certainly stylish. I love the techniques you used for the hair and the skirt, especially. This is one classy dame!
You can thank Matt, Abby, and David for getting me started with building figures. If it weren't for their 100 Piece Brick Built Figure Contest, none of this would have transpired. They probably created a Frankenstein Monster.

Quoting Starscream Soundwave Excellent work, she certainly gives a flavour of the '50s. It's always good to see someone building something a little different!
I like your observation. I try to do something other than CarsPlanesTanks, RobotsMechas, and HobbitLordoftheRings. When I think other builders do a better job in the mentioned genres.

Thanks Stephan. I always enjoy hearing from you. Marilyn may be the last figure constructed in this style. I'm ready to move on to a different look.
