About this creation
Name: Captain Linbek
Captain's Log: Day 13. We have almost reached the ships. Finally, We can get out of this frozen realm! I do not understand how the natives can stand it. Speaking of which, my attempts to make the pirate/barbarian talk have not revealed anything of substance, only idle threats which tell me his “son” is coming for me. Ha! Not after my men are through with him!
Uhh... Pirates. I can not tell you enough how much I hate those wretched scum. Especially the one I captured. He was the one who started it all! I'll never forget seeing my town in flames, seeing him leering over it all! I remember swearing that day, I would bring him to justice. Thank goodness the King would support me! I tracked him through a sword he owned. An old merchant in Orfdor stated someone like the man I described had stolen a sword from him long ago. It took a while to pick up the scent, but I finally found him in a remote mountain island in the Sea of Myths.
While my men fought his paltry forces, I myself confronted him in his tent.
He went down in the blink of an eye. I suppose all those years of idle seclusion wreak havoc on your battle strength.
I am taking him back to Mythron in chains, in order to pay for his crimes at the feet of King Sadon. (And for added protection against ambush, I've sent out a small detachment to guard the rear.)
Arrghh! Some clumsy goat has knocked my candle to the floor! Oh, wait, it's only my chief marksman from the detachment. Poor fellow's badly cut in the leg! He tells me the pirate/barbarian's son defeated all of my men, but he himself went over a waterfall! Good riddance.
I love the perspective here. I like how you portrayed the Mythronian through his speech. I felt like I got a feeling for the guy just from that entry. I'm looking forward to seeing what your character will do when he finds these men :)
