In celebration of passing the 2000 members milestone and becoming the largest group on MOCpages, the Fellowship of the Brick invites the entire MOCpages community to share in a fantastical undertaking! The objective is for the community to collaboratively produce an impressive archive of 2000 8x8 and/or 16x16 Middle Earth themed vignettes over the next year! Ridiculous? Yes. Unrealistic? Absolutely. But the same was said of Frodo's quest to destroy the Ring, so come and join the fun!
About this creation
"Suddenly Frodo noticed that a strange-looking weather-beaten man, sitting in the shadows near the wall, was also listening intently to the hobbit-talk. He had a tall tankard in front of him, and was smoking a long-stemmed pipe curiously carved. His legs were stretched out before him, showing high boots of supple leather that fitted him well, but had seen much wear and were now caked with mud. A travel-stained cloak of heavy dark–green cloth was drawn close about him, and in spite of the heat of the room he wore a hood that overshadowed his face; but the gleam of his eyes could be seen as he watched the hobbits…" - J.R.R Tolkien; The Fellowship of the Ring, Chapter 10, page 206
Very cool. nice details on everything, but I think the floor is my favorite. Nice pipe...you'd think after all the Hobbit and LOTR sets LEGO would have given us a cool old-timey pipe by now. Those are some tobacco intensive stories!
Amazing Mark!!! I love that table! I think a brown hood would fit better but they are super rare... I really wanna get my hands on one, or two. XD That wall is sweet! I need to have you or Graham teach me how to do that! Glad you posted again! :)
Wow! This is fantastic! I do like that roof technique and the floor tiling. I really like the walls there awesome. The figure is just brilliant I love the dark green cloak and the way you made his pipe. Mounting the round plate upside down to make such an awesome tankard was pure genius. Excellent work Mark!
