My second attempt (at least online) of building the Strike Freedom Gundam. I think I got it this time. I've included the instructions for this model, but note that it is not buildable in real life because of the lack of gold parts, and because it would need a stand to stand up because of the extreme weight of the backpack.

Quoting Declan Muller Well, looks like someone used the RG 1/144 model for inspiration. I've got it, and if you haven't bought or made one yet, here's a tip. Take the frame and the yellow parts and spray paint them gold. I'd reccomend 'Tamaya Colour Metallic Gold'. I got it from the same store I bought this, so if you buy Gunpla then it'll probably be there. :)
Thanks for the tip--One day I'll hope to get my hands on the PG version of this model, but the RG of this and the regular Freedom are very appealing too.

Quoting Marcus J. Another thing I forgot to mention, the foot design on this thing is very clever, good details there as well.
The inspiration for the foot design came from FateHeart over on Flickr. I think it really worked well though.

Quoting Marcus J. Very cool model. The Wings are sweet, though how do you think they'd be, could the model stand along? Anyways Everything else looks good, though like I said on the preview about the hatch height, but I could be wrong, anyways nice build, and its cool that you showed the half covered frame.
This model definitely could not stand on its own. Even if I made all the joints fixed in place, it would still tip over backwards from the weight of the backpack. It would 100% need a stand, even for ground poses.

That picture with half of the gundams frame exposed is pretty cool, it really ads an effect to the creation, its like looking at a person and seeing there skeleton.

Quoting Alex Fojtik The creation is stunning. I have a lot to study with the backpack/wings. Most of the time I try to build mechs with no stands but it may be worth it if the pack looks that cool. Also it is very well presented, with the structural shot and everything.
Thanks! Feel free to do what you like with the model!

Quoting TF Twitch This is amazing! I like how more refined it is over your other version (which is amazing as well, but you know that). The construction of the wings and how less bulky they are really does stand out to me. I also like how the feet are very similar to your older design, which I have expressed that I like. Great job, great work, and your compassion for perfection really does show here. So, when will we get the LDD file for the newest Freedom Gundam (that you designed AGES ago)? I really do want to dissect how you do the wings.
Didn't I load that one? I thought I did. I'll have to dig it up--though its pretty outdated now. I'll let you know when I find it.

Quoting Lego 4 Life Amazing! Do you think Strike Freedom is the strongest gundam?
Its one of them. The strongest Gundam is probably Turn A (though I hate it). Then probably Devil Gundam. After that it is a toss up. 00Qan[T] is up there, as is Gundam Double X, Wing Gundam Zero, 00 Raiser, Gundam Zabanya, Hi-Nu Gundam and Strike Freedom. It probably isn't the strongest, but it is certainly top-tier in terms of its destructive abilities. The Strike Freedom's pilot, Kira Yamato, on the other hand, is undoubtedly one of the strongest pilots in the Gundam universe. There are few others that come close. But this is all just my opinion, of course. Everyone probably has an idea of what the strongest gundam is.

Quoting andros tempest I have this figure, it was a gift from japan and this is an amazing recreation.
Thanks Andros--that is high praise indeed! Was it a model kit or a figure, if you don't mind me asking--which product line?

Quoting M<0><0>DSWIM ! Oh yeah! That's the stuff! The thing I love about the original Strike Freedom is those wings and I think you've recreated them beautifully here. Love the design of the feet and head, as well.
Thanks Moodie! This was a head-scratcher at times, but I'm 99% happy with it.
