Moonbase Module - Exploriens Lab - built for the Moonbase project at Bricking Bavaria 2007 in Germany
About this creation
My little colony of Exploriens purchased some additional trans-clear panels and decided to upgrade their lab module (see Exploriens Lab) with a second floor. I think they did a quite nice job. :)
Again they put the second floor onto a single 4x4 turntable (3403c01). So you can turn the two floors independently. Some of the Exploriens engineers are already working on the motorization of this so that the top floor is turning automatically.
Here are some views of the whole lab plus details from the new second floor cabins:
Side view
View from the top: you can see how the second floor is turned by 90 degrees so that the windows all show to different directions.
Cabin one: Looks like that guy wants to exchange his helmet. Not much of a choice here. All helmets are Exploriens' style. :)
Cabin two: That's some basic storage room with a computer protected rack.
Cabin three: I'm sure those guys don't work but just play some computer games ;)
Cabin four: This cabin contains some more machinery as it's always needed in space stations. Might be the oxygen supplies and other stuff for life support
I was thinking 4 star or 5 star, but the motorization is a 5 star. Hope you manage that. Why I thought of a 4 is the roof. Maybe you could add a some greebles there or reduce the amount of studs. Then I would have no doubts at all. Nice job.
