Deep Freeze Defender
On this project I worked with my 10 year old daughter together. She has made the underbody and interior. And I have the individual modules designed and created the top. Again and again I asked my daughter, "it has not too much detail?" . And ... "it is spacey enough?". I think I have tasted her nerves. Ok, there are all original features still in place. only the shutte can not start by the upper roller door because it's too big a bit, so I have a foldable version designed and installed a rear door. The underbody is purposely kept very simple so that you can touch the ship well. Thus, it is fully playable. I have built a total of 40 hours, my daughter just over 5 hours. We are very much looking forward to your opinions.

Quoting Crimso Giger That's a great remake : very faithful to the original, but with a better, more complex build, some great new textures, and so on. I would buy it if it was released today by TLG !
Thanks again Crimso, i am glad that you like it

Quoting S treet I just found my real Lego lately. Guess what was in there, you guessed right the exact same set :-P I love your improvents, redesign. The new wings are very nice and the x-part looks very good. The newly added details makes it even more beautiful. Well done, you two!
many thanks for your kind words.

Quoting Marc dZ Impressive!! I really like how you add details with simple solutions. The two little ships are very cool with both canopy. Very clever!! On the whole, the level of details is consequent and no, it is not too much. The rocket launcher is awesome with its satellite. Great work to you and your daughter!!
Thanks Marc, I appreciate your words.

Quoting Kermunklin the Giant Evil House Head I love Ice Planet! Great redesign! Just the right amount of SNOT and instantly recognizable. One question, though: What's the deal with the double cockpits in the front modules? They look very cool, but I would love to see how a minifig fits inside. All in all brilliant work, and it's insanely appropriate that Commander Cold was the first onw to comment. Good job.

Quoting Michal Hennel 6/5 :) . I had to inspect this ship over and over to absorb all the thought that was invested in great creation. I would call it neo-classic Space because of retainment of old desings with all the newest techniques and details. It is something I myself havent achieved yet. I recommend you to invest much into this kind of ships, because you are developing your unique style that is very inspiring, for me particular. You have a lot to give with this style. Great job! P.S. I suggest you to take WIP photos while doing your ships. It would help others to understand how you did this multi-direction SNOT that is so beuatiful in this ship. :)
Thanks Michal, give me your email, I can send you WIP's for next time

Your opinion is always important for me .... but you know that. I took great care on the playability. My daughter had to give me a lot of advice. at the Snot wings i have developed new techniques to attach, so you can perfectly play with it. Thank you Matt

Quoting Tim C A really nice reimagined set here, Stephan. I think it's great that you tapped into that limitless imagination of a child to come up with this, and yes, it is spacey enough;) I love how you took out a lot of the studded look of the original. What really stands out to me is the playability that you included in this MOC. I can see me as a kid spending a lot of time messing with all the moving parts. Superb work, Stephan.
Thank you Tim, the ability to play was clearly in the foreground. My daughter loves playing with this ship!

Quoting Alex Sonny Wow man, my favourite of your remakes so far. The theme certainly deserves to be revisited by Lego one day, and this is just what they should put out - maybe an exclusive run of old themes. The use of pieces here is astonishing, the best detail probably being the tiny craft that unfolds ever so neatly. The central printed canopy piece connects everything really well, I'm glad you kept that told piece. Just marvelous!
