The Great Western Empire has been fighting to keep control of New Cimmaron for months. Now, the Buggoid Confederacy has landed walkers, which are advancing into the town. Can the Imperial forces hold them off?
This started off as a display stand for the walker. I deliberately tried to offset the dk tan terrain by adding as much color in the minifigs and in the plant life as I could. There's more pictures than text here, in a reversal of my usual posts, but if you'd like to skip closer to the bottom, just click here.
View from the walker:
The town drunk.
The alien strider. This started off as a tablescrap while I was sorting brown headlight bricks and arches. This is more overtly steampunk than the rest of the scene, in my opinion.
The alien wears a Hobbit cape with one arm attached through a head hole, and the other head hole tucked under his headpiece. This is an adaptation of a design I saw on the internet, so if you were the originator, feel free to let me know and I'll credit you. N.B: Mr. Cab was not the originator of this specific technique :P
This is a light ground attack flyer, commissioned with the 701st Aeriel Battalion. It's a little more scifi, but the wagon wheels and roll-cage still give it some cred.
Now for some minifigs. The flyer's crew:
Power transmission workers:
Two jet racers, as well as an Imperial spotter.
From left- a researcher, a street performer, a rogue android, and the drunkard again:
Personal faves- a pilot in the French Foreign Legion, an oddly familiar fellow in a dingy uniform jacket, and a reclusive gunslinger.
