Vorek, the Hybrid
Half Rahkshi, half Makuta.
About this creation
BIO TIME!
Name: Vorek
Gender: Male
Species: Makuta/Rahkshi Hybrid
Element: Shadow/Hunger
Occupation: Working with Makuta, acting as guard
Titles: The guard, the goon
Kanohi: None
Alignment: Evil
MOC Status: Scrapped
Personality: Cold and silent, with anger brewing inside of him.
Bio: Vorek was originally a Vorahk, a Rahkshi of Hunger. He was Pyrodax's "pet", so to say. He usually stayed in Pyrodax's lair. When the Mata Nui robot was destroyed, the Vorahk came with Pyrodax.

One day, in Pyrodax's new lair on Spherus Magna, Pyrodax was experimenting with DNA. He was wondering what would happen if he inserted some of his own DNA into the Vorahk. Once the test was complete, the Vorahk began to mutate and became Vorek. The mutation had caused Vorek to lose his spine, hunch, and caused his Kraata inside to be forever sealed within the mutated suit. Vorek also gained small wings and some of Pyrodax's knowledge, now being able to talk. Vorek eventually became Pyrodax's guard, and usually stays at the lair. If small tasks are to be done, Vorek is usually the one to be sent to do them. After all, there are always more Rahkshi.

Theme: Hoenn Legendary Battle from Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald

So, here's Vorek. The name is kind of a play on Vorahk, seeing as how he was originally a Vorahk.

Back.

Lower legs. They're a little chunky, but I like them. I'm especially fond of the knee-pad things.

Upper legs. Not much to say here.

Torso. No heartlight because neither Makuta nor Rahkshi had heartlights in the movies, so I'm sticking with that. In fact, it seems only Matoran, Toa, and Turaga had heartlights.

Arms.

Gimped, in an action pose.

Now, for weapons. Here's his main weapon, the electro-fork.

The tip of the weapon.

The reason why it's known as the electro-fork is because the tip emits electricity that can shock and/or stun the enemy when they are stabbed with it.

Gimped, in an action pose.

Here's his secondary weapon, a Staff of Absorption. This staff used to be his main weapon as a Rahkshi. Now that he's mutated, he still uses it, just not as much.

Gimped, in an action pose.

Dual wielding!

Outdoors.

V: ...

Powering down the fourth wall generators: This guy was fun to build. The upper arms and legs use an interesting design that I've never used before. Also, this guy is more or less a tribute to the first Bionicle set I ever got, who was, of course, Vorahk.

So, that's it for this MOC! If you liked it, please rate and comment, and feel free to take a look at some of my other MOCs!

Quoting Evan Botkin Nice! Interesting backstory for him. I think giving him a spine would make him a bit more like a hybrid (not a hunch, but just the spikey spine). I like his weapons too.
Although with the current armor, there's really no way for me to attach a spine, especially because of the wings.

Quoting ~ Hazeroth Finally! I like how he turned out too! My only complaint would be that the lower legs do look a bit funny without armor, but all in all I like it! Also I like Lorom a lot with his upgrades! :D
Thanks. :)

Quoting Stormjay Rider Not a big fan of the legs -- the skinny upper legs don't complement the chunky lower legs very well. The arms blend together better in that regard. The torso is nice, but you could use some variation in the chest plates you use. The weapons are also nice.
Yeah, the lower legs are a little too bulky. I see what you mean about the variation in terms of body armor. The only problem is that the only armor piece I can find that works with the torsos is the Inika shoulder, but that's because most of my MOCs are fairly skinny. I'll keep experimenting and see what I can come up with.
