Nissan 350Z
If anyone ever wants to build a Nissan 350Z, then best of luck to you. And you're insane.
About this creation
Welcome peopleses! This is actually my first large scale replica of the year, and since pfffffft 28th of July last year . Oh, how things have changed. Today, I present you with a Japanese gem of a car. It's stocky yet sporty build is popular among tuners, especially for drift. There aren't many Lego versions about - and now I see why. It's tail light pose an issue, the shaping is tricky and it doesn't smell of onions. I'm not hugely pleased, but it's as close as I could get without having a massive mental malfunction. (alliteration FTW)

So. I'll start off with the front. The headlights are hard to see from a low angle, which is irritating. So no midgets allowed.
Lego Nissan 350Z - front

I didn't like the side profile, hence the page lacking a photo of it. So we'll skip to the rear. =P May I just point out, this has to be my best shaping to date.
Lego Nissan 350Z - rear

A front angle shot thing. Love this and the next picture, by the way. Credit for the roof line goes to TheLegoNoItAll. Helped a lot mate!
Lego Nissan 350Z

Definitely my second favorite shot. Why second, you ask? All will be explained.
Lego Nissan 350Z - rear 34

Now for functions! Here we go
-Opening boot, doors and bonnet
-Reclining seat (although that was easy and unintentional)
-Moving handbrake (Ermergerd!)
-Both front and rear suspension
-Working steering.

Here's the good old 'everything open' shot, we all know and love.
Lego Nissan 350Z - everything opened up

The boot, with it's weird bar-thingy.
Lego Nissan 350Z - boot

I took the roof off, opened the doors and put the light coming from the above to the max, but you'll still need to squint. A lot.
Lego Nissan 350Z - interior

The engine is no where near as detailed as I wanted it to be, but the steering rack and thickness of the bonnet took up a lot of space.
Lego Nissan 350Z - engine

Now, my favorite shot. The wallpaper I made just because I can. =D
Lego Nissan 350Z - Fansah shot! =3

Did someone say they wanted a roadster version?

No? Good, because I didn't/won't make one

Thanks for viewing guys!! Tell me what you think of it in the comments below, and rate fairly. WARNING - I'm going to be uploading a lot in a short space of time. I have tow MOCs to post before tomorrow before the deadline of a contest, and tomorrow is my first MOCiversary. So bear with me...

Thanks again, and feel free to download the file and do some tuning. Just inform me if you do and give credit if you post it online. Cheers guys!

Quoting Jake Grahn Hi Sam, I don't know how to add a downloadable instruction link on MOCs. Could you tell me how? Also, I've seen your Prowler Ace on Flickr, looks amazing!
Hi Jake! Thank you very much! To add the file, it should have a Sub-heading in Add A Lego Creation with a button labeled 'Browse...". Click on it and go to wherever you keep all the LDD creations, double click the one you want and,Bob's your Uncle, you're done.

Quoting Alexander Paschoaletto Okay, that's the 3rd time I'm trying to comment here. Congratulations on this car. Rear shaping is spectacular. About the front, yeah it's a bit squared, but I hear your pain. Remember the LFA? It looks easy to replicate too, until you try. I bet that if you make a 2nd version you'll nail it perfectly. Great work!
Thanks Alex! Yeah, I can imagine the LFA was tricky. And, I agree, the front is a bit square. Thanks again!!

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Sorry I missed this one Sam. Very nice work, I especially like the half stud offsets over the rear wheels - excellent sculpting. Oh I am planning some cars very soon. I have an 8 wide to post next week and have several car projects to build over the coming weeks. Not sure when I will be able to post them but I will asap.
Hey, no worries. i just wanted to see some cars from you. That's my favorite part of the whole MOC. Huh, funny that. I've made an 8-wide too! Although ti's more a cartoony Jap-fest thing, so perfect for your manga people!! Sounds good, I will tune in asap.

Quoting Nils O. Very cool! First of all, it's instantly recognizable, which is the most important thing for me on a Lego car model that's based on a real one. If you have to put the name next to it, then it's not good enough yet. That's not the case here: You've build some of the iconic details of the real car - especially head and tail lights - so well. The rest is extra eye candy for the viewer. It would be cool if you could get the parts to build it "for real". Great job, Sam! :-))
If only....thanks Nils!! I tried to make it recognisable, and it's nice to know I've achieved that.
