Hey guys! Here's my latest moc: Godzilla!!! I built this as a tribute to the new movie (which I haven't seen yet) and it was originally intended for Abbi Francis's 100-piece Brick-Built Figure Contest. The build actually qualifies and consists of 75 pieces. Quite a lot for such a small figure. Unfortunately, I did not manage to post this in time for the contest, so my deepest regrets. Anyway, enjoy!!!

Quoting Brickhead Inge Love it! See if you can sculpt that iconic face!
Probably not at this scale. I tried but it's too small. Glad you love it!

Quoting M<0><0>DSWIM ! Great looking little fig! I love the shaping of the head and the cheese slopes as spikey back things. I think the tail might be just a bit long, though. Too bad you missed the contest deadline.:(
Quite unfortunate I didn't make it. I'm glad you like it. Ive modified the tail.

Quoting matt rowntRee Love him! As a true fan of Godzilla movies I can truly appreciate any attempt at this iconic figure as I myself built versions of him when I was young and watching ALL the films on Saturday mornings after all the cartoons were over. The cheese wedges are fantastic for getting his menacing shape, I absolutely love the profile shot. I think the only thing I can think that might improve him would be to add a 1X2 plate at the tail section closest to his behind. It would add a bit of thickness there and make the scales flow into his tail in a nice arch. Other than that, I'd say that this guy needs just a touch of character, which is really tricky with Godzilla. He was both a bad guy and a good guy, so it would be difficult to deconstruct him down to his essence to build him up again in your own vision. A bad guy would be easier as you could have him chomping on a train full of people. Something like that would lend to his character well. He is a tough challenge in that respect. However, your part usage is unique and interesting and you honestly would have fared well in the contest. It is my hope that you'll be able to show next go as this is a testament to some fine building. Excellent!
Thank you so much! Your words construct the most meaningful comment I;ve ever had. plus the length, I love long comments. Regarding the 1x2 plate making the the waist section wider. I actually did that, but in order to make the legs fit in completely and give them more articulation I had to replace the piece with a 1x1 plate. Before that I had placed a 1x2 plate with the stud in the center. Regarding the presentation of Godzilla's character, I'm waiting to see the movie, I will most likely be able to build a good scene based on the movie. Thanks for your kind words and criticism. I'm glad you like him.

Quoting Evan Botkin Nice! Looks a lot like the one from the movie (which I haven't seen yet either) but I think you should take one of the links out of the tail, it looks way too long. Otherwise great! Sorry you couldn't enter the contest.
I'll shrink the tail. Didn't notice how long it looks until it was pointed out. Thanks!!!

Quoting ~The Lego Creator Awesome!! We used to watch the old movies all the time. The tail could be a bit smaller though.
Haha that's funny. The tail was actually shorter before. I added another extension. I'll reconsider it. Thanks!
