Equipment: Kanohi Kideli, Flamethrowers
Titles: The Snake, Leader, Brother
Occupation: Leader of the Toa Mokha
Personality: Slippery and cunning, Galek's true intentions can never be discovered.
Galek is a bit of an anomaly. He originally became a Toa shortly after the creation of the Great Spirit Robot, but he proved to be more of a liability than an asset to his team. He even betrayed them during the war against the Barraki. However, while pretending to be loyal to the Barraki -- or perhaps truly being loyal to them -- he studied their strategies and laid down traps for them. Galek's team leader commended him for his brilliant tactics, but others felt he was a traitor and had no place among the Toa. As the newly placed leader of the Toa Mokha, all wait in angst to see how he will act.
A revamp of one of my favorite and most popular MOCs, Galek. Built as part of my Toa Mokha project.
My first post of Galek was a version infected by Shadow, and I'm currently considering that incarnation only semi-canon. This version reflects him as a pure Toa of Fire.
I actually finished most of the MOC in April, and posted it on Custom BIONICLE Wiki. However, recently I fixed my main issue with him (the torso) and decided he was good enough to post here.
Lower legs. As you may or may not know, Galek V1 introduced an Inika shoulder-based lower leg design that I really like. That's really all this is, but with bulkier front armor, as I wanted this version to be short and bulky, so it looks like he has some physical power even though that's not what he depends on.
Upper legs. Still a bit iffy about this part. If I do make any further updates to him, it will probably be here.
Torso. It's built entirely on a Metru torso element, with added waist joint and more articulatable shoulders. He doesn't have any gear functions (though I did include that on another MOC.)
I forgot to take a picture of it, but he has a custom head as well.
Upper arms. Very reminiscent of the original's.
Custom lower arms are something I've struggled with, but with this verison I've come up with a rather simple design that works for Inika-sized MOCs.
Speaking of, here is a comparison shot. He is rather close to Inika size.
