GoH- Character Intro
About this creation
GoH Intro- Kashifa ibn Mu'adh

Kashifa bint Mu'adh is a treasure-hunter from Kaliphlin. She was kidnapped as an infant and sold into slavery, and was raised by a merchant from Sultan's Gate before escaping at the age of 13. Today, she earns a good living exploring both in ancient archives and throughout the wild lands, finding long-lost treasure hoards from the centuries before the great wars. Although her red hair obviously doesn't flow from Kaliphlin blood, her true ancestry is lost in a mist no explorer could pierce.

GoH Intro- Overall

Just ignore that ugly tan part underneath the jungle, please. I didn't really mean to have that showing in the pictures :P

GoH Intro- Entrance to the temple

It's all one scene, from the jungle to the lost temple.

GoH Intro- Landscaping details

More fun landscaping! (The direct inspiration for this jungle is Mark of Falworth's recent scene, The Temple of the Twin Jaguars.)

Thanks, Mohamed Marei, for pointing out the right way to write my character's name in Arabic!

So far, Guilds of Historica is just as entertaining to me as LOM, and it undoubtedly attracts more prestigious builders. Kai, Halhi, and Gilbert set an awfully high standard for giving constructive feedback, but I've gotten just as much good feedback and ideas from GoH in my first post. Don't worry; as a mod of LOM, and considering the effort I've put into my LOM character's story, I won't be abandoning LOM. However, I'm planning to keep going with GoH, for at least a few months.

Quoting Stephen Boe You're kidding! Little to no prizes? In the last GC there were three prizes for the three winners and three prizes for the three winners in the Banner challenge. 3rd place was a large PaB cup for the banner challenge.
In GoH, it's possible to get PaB cups for participating in collabs.

Quoting Gabe Murray Ahh so methink if I talk fancy, I can pass:) nah I'm going to stick with LOM for now, I'll wait till my skills are a bit better.
That might be a good strategy ;) There are still a bunch of good builders in LOM!

Quoting Gabe Murray Um Thomas, I was wondering, I read the GoH forums and sign up rules, do I have to only make a MOC or are there other steps to joining the GoH? Apart from that, wonderful build!:)
Weeeell... GoH is on Eurobricks, which officially is for ages 18 and up. However, if a TFOL can interact with others reasonably and with good grammar, they will usually turn a blind eye to infractions. Keep in mind, too, that there are other options, such as LCC and LOM, that welcome TFOLs of all ages.

Quoting Mohamed Marei Interesting name. Though for female Arabic names, the middle word would be "bint" not "ibn", cuz "ibn" is the Arabic word for "son of". SO your character's name should read "Kashifa bint Mu'adh". It's actually got a really nice ring to it :P Anyways, awesome MOC :D
Really? I never knew that. Thank you so much!

Guaire is near a desert, but there might be one in Mythron.

Quoting Gilbert Despathens Even so, a challenge entry in the LOM is good for a freebuild in the GOH - That's how Infy and I do it.
Speaking of that... Where are the deserts in LOM? Freeling has posted several desert mocs, but nothing on the map really screams "desert."

Quoting Gilbert Despathens This makes four RPGs, right? That's impressive. I hope for your sake you can post some of your builds in several places.
Well, I'm pretty much dead in TI and LOR :P

Quoting Stephen Boe You should be banned from LoR. JK NOICE work!
Yeah... To be honest, I found LOR to be too close to LOM (lots of TFOLs, heavy reliance on story challenges, little to no prizes). I might add something over there every once in a while, though ;)

Quoting Julia LeeP Oh, wow, you joined the GoH. One RPG is enough for me, but I've heard some really good things about the it. Anywho, this is a really nice MOC-- I especially how it has "two floors" which really makes it interesting. The "first floor" is really cool-- that vine hanging down is quite nice, and your character seems really interesting too (just wondering, in what set did you get the Egyptian hieroglyphics in?). The "second floor" is also interesting, and definitely not your normal landscape in the best way. Those flowers are quite interesting, although perhaps a little too bit sci-fi-ish in my opinion. The tree could use some more leaves, and the body could be a little better rounded... but a really nice job on this one overall. Oh, and good luck in the GoH!
Thanks, Julia! The hieroglyphics stickers were available from several sets a few years back. The light tan stickers are from an Indiana Jones set, and the more colorful stickers ("painted over" the older stickers ;) are from Pharaoh's Quest sets. I thought the extra pegs on the regular flowers were needed to keep them from looking too flat, but maybe they are too colorful. And about that tree- I didn't think dark green looked very tropical, so I limited myself to mostly the lighter shades of leaves. Thanks for the nice comment!
