First Electric Light
Local notabilities have met to celebrate the first electricity in the small town Brickach. The local tool making company installed a steam engine to generate electric power for the new modern machines.
About this creation
I built this for a challenge of our local LEGO AFOL group. We had to use our most unpopular part, or something we could not think it's useful. I chose something I got at Bricking Bavaria 2014. It may be a wristband, having LEGO Store printed on it. I used it as belt to transmit the power from the steam engine to the generator.

See it in action at youtube.

I do not longer think this part is useless.

I love it, who would have thought of using a lego wristband in a creation

Really nice! the functions are cool, and this Moc just somehow conveys an atmosphere that I don't often see in other Mocs.

great MOC. The minifigs really fit into the old pre-industrial age setting you have created. Funny how something that seems almost unusable can be so perfectly fitting when the spark of creativity hits like it did for you!

A brilliant little scene from electricity beginning. I especially love the little steam engine, but it's all top notch.

A great build and scene. It was a 'bright' idea to use the band in this way ;)
