"The gentle giant Keetongu"
About this creation

I don't work in grey on this scale as it's usually kept to my mini-mocs and smaller builds in general but it did do me some good as it posed a new challenge.
When thinking of doing a Keetongu revamp I instantly knew I wanted to depart from the current look of him and that turned into lots of hoses/tubes and long shoulder pads. For a change up of my usual style, he even uses pre-made limbs for his arms.
The only down side on this moc for me is the upper legs which are fairly thin but look ok from the side or slightly posed. I did try and thicken them out but every attempt failed.

This moc also is absent from black apart from the connector axles and pins and there is also 1 black ball joint for the waist but aside from those, he's all yellow/keetorange and grey

Overall I like this build as a revamp but also for the change up of my usual comfort zone to bring out new results.

So I uploaded my Keetongu revamp yesterday and first off, thanks for the amazing reaction you guys gave. Lots of people were commenting liking and faving all over the place where it was uploaded so thanks for the support guys :D
Some people were asking if he had any accessories and at first I didn't care for them much but after a bit of thinking I thought it'd be nice for Keetongu to have his toys.

Keetongu with his new weapons.

One of the changes I did was trade out the trans-blue 2x2 dish for a stud which works much better as the smaller eye makes the body look larger in comparison and really works with the character.

His new spear and dual-shield.

So there you go guys.
I hope you like the little eye change and his new accessories :)

Perfect mix of both system and technic parts. This revamp / re imagining of the character is excellent.I love the proportions, the added tubes, and the weapons. Also like that you didn't use many black parts, the color scheme is superb. The upper legs could have been bulkier but I honestly don't see it as much of a con, they still look good when posed at an angle. :D

I absolutely love this MOC. The designs, especially in the torso, seem brilliant, and the overall look is quite impressive.

This.. this is utterly fantastic. Keetongu was one of my first Bionicle I ever got. I've always wanted to do my own revamp version of him, but I've never had any ideas. This actually gave me a few! Thank you! I can't even... Amazing!!

Fascinating build. Love the style, although the hoses on the legs might be a bit much.

Glad you did this one, it's definitely very accurate to the film version.

While I still haven't seen the CGI version of this guy, your revamp looks absolutely amazing. I would like to see weapons/tools for him though.

Giving his hat some posability would be a good idea I think. Other than that, there's nothing I can fault. This guy is amazing. Instantly recognisable as the character while being built in such a different style. My favourite part has to be where you've used the vahki limb parts for his forearms.

Heck yes. My only complaint is that the eye looks a little too big, but other than that, this is awesome.

If Lego had made the original set like this, I would have bought ten of them.

Very nice work! I think the bohrok shield may be a smidgen too high, but this guy looks amazing.
