My 4th MOCiversary MOC! Return to an old concept. Time really flies, doesn't it?
About this creation

Music:

Wow, can't believe I've had an account on MOCpages for four years already. Seems like just yesterday I was making my 3rd MOCiversary post...the music is Savage by Case & Point; one of my favorite artists right now; you should check him (them? her?) out.

So basically I wanted to make a siege tank with treads like a Scorpion from HALO but sleeker, except I was running short on time to build so I scrapped that idea and went for a ship instead.

Here's the cockpit open. No, it can't hold a minifigure...that's what I get for spending 2 hours on a build.

Looking into the cockpit from above. This is basically a gunship with a giant railgun on top.

The railgun. I really like this design; probably will come back to it in the future.

Railgun raised. The technic parts of this system took an absurdly long time to figure out, and in the end it still doesn't work very smoothly, and the turret it is attached to cannot swivel. I like the way it looks though.

Small turret designed for self-defense. I wanted to revisit a theme I created a while ago but never really got going. It basically evolved into the Shining Path in my current series, anyway.

Rear of the ship. I don't know what that little grey beam is there for, but it looked cool, so I kept it...

The next episode of The Cult should be up shortly; I've been busy taking apart old sets to gather enough dark bley for new sets.

Satellite dish thing. This was a last-minute addition and kept falling off, but I think it might've been worth the extra 30 seconds...it looks cute...

Some kind of logo/emblem/symbol. My folders already show the effect life has had on my building (90 creations my first couple years, 29 the second two including this one so far), and it's only going to get worse. :/

After The Cult I might drop all the lore and stuff I've been thinking of/writing for Catron because in terms of theme I like steampunk the most and Catron is definitely not steampunk...

Underside. Tried to pretty this up a little. Anyway, that really sucks because there's a LOT of lore/content/stuff I've written/thought of for Catron, enough to fill at least 200-300 more episodes of miscellaneous new series.

The circular black objects are devices which provide enough lift to allow for VTOL. I might continue with Catron, don't really know...

My LEGO collection has also stopped growing and I probably won't be adding to it for at least 5-10 years for personal reasons, which will make continuing The Cult and related content difficult, at least in LEGO form.

Alright, enough of random jabbering. Here's what I'm really proud of in this MOC: It's built on an odd-numbered frame! the main body if you look here is 7 studs wide, the cockpit is 6. This took a little bit of thinking and semi-illegal techniques but in the end it turned out, in my opinion, really good.

So that's it for this 4th year post. Looking forward to a lot more years on this awesome site and in this awesome community. -Justin

Happy 4th Mocaversary! Awesome ship. I like the detailing in the rail gun. Excellent!
