100 PBBFC: The Killing Joke (Joker Mech)
This is my entry to the 100 Piece Brick Built Figure Contest, The Killing Joke (Joker Mech) Joker gets tired of having the crap beat out of him time and again by Batman and decides to hire some of the best criminal minds to build him a bionic body. Now who's laughing, Bats?! This is my first time using the new Mixel joints and it helped reduce the parts count alot compared to my usual design. This was alot of fun and thanks to the judges for throwing this party. Good luck to all the contestants!

Quoting Starscream Soundwave Thought I had already left a comment here! Ah well. I absolutely love this, it doesn't look like you were working under the restrictions of the parts limit and inclusion of the mystery pieces. Magnificent!
Thanks so much!

Quoting matt rowntRee That’s how you make the Joker more menacing. I think we’ve found a fan of the Mixel joints. ;) This is a fantastic mech in its own right first of all. It looks beefy but not out of proportion. Being critical here, I would have to say that it is the face that I find a little distracting. It seems a touch out of place with the “built” figure. Having said that however, I do actually like it and find it needs it to complete the total vision. The jet pack seems a bit out of place in that I don’t see the sea grass as viable wings. It does add some wonderful color to that area though. So, in short, my critique on the parts was proved invalid by my own observations. You’re welcome. XD In actuality, it is the sign of a good design. I think the Mystery Pieces could have been utilized more seamlessly, but I’m nitpicking at this point. Also like to point out that the black pharaoh headpieces are quite unique. The character is there; I see evil intent and focused rage. I also see Batman defeating this and a newer version coming down the road in the future (Batman always wins. Sorry Stu.) Outstanding!
Thanks, Matt, for a truly thoughtful comment! I really enjoyed this contest and I think it shows in this build.

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Love his face and jetpack thingy. These new joints are super flexible and you have done a great job of hiding them.

Quoting MCLegoboy ! Those headdresses and Vader helmets are so subtle, I didn't even notice them at first. Fantastic! The use of that bomb for its face is also a fantastic selection amoung the many great pieces you used. Good luck!
Thanks. I really stretched my notions of parts usages with this guy.

Quoting clayton Marchetti That's an awesome Mech! I love the face and the use of Darth vader helmets on the shoulders and what Mike said the mummy hats on the knees. That's cool how you incorporated the 5 mystery pieces flawlessly in fact it wasn't until the 3rd time viewing that I caught the support part. Excellent entry, best of luck to you!
Thanks! One of the interesting aspects of this build is having to do a lot with fewer pieces than I'm used to. The use of minifig helmets allowed me to put detail in with fewer parts.

Quoting Michael Rutherford Mr. Swim, those mummy hats on the knees are an unexpected delight! I think what people mean about the face is that they are less than impressed because it is a "Face Brick" so it is not as dazzling as some of the other features (like air tank fingers for example). I say so what? Sometimes the best part is the best part... novelty for novelty’s sake can be a distracter. Build what you feel. Attack!
Thank you sir. I did hsve a good design for jokers face and head but with the piece limit I decided to use the printed piece. I would rather my entry stand out a bit anyway.:)
