Bumblebee from Transformers built with less than 100 pieces!
About this creation
100 Piece Brick Built Figure Contest

Bumblebee from transformers, he has be restyled through both my imagination, and through Lego blocks to be with you today. Sam graciously allowed bumble to attend a photo shoot for the next Bots-of-the-Month Calender, here are a few of those pictures, lady bots beware he is one complex bot!

Bumblebee ready for action. no decepticon can best this bot!

Stand tall Bumblebee, you are after all a solder, and no one likes a slouchy Solder.

Look at that face! Bumblebee really is ready for battle!

Nice strong shoulders on this bot, defiantly made of muscle.... car parts.

raise your arms high and show that strength! Bumble is about to lay the smack down on those decepticons!

Bumblebee! come on! stop showing of for the lady bots! ugh.... sorry folks Bumble wanted you to see his amazing 1 armed push ups.

i used exactly 100 pieces, gotta say its tough to capture both a robot and car with so few parts, but i think there is plenty of both showing through.

hope you enjoyed the MOC as always, and look forward to a future version of Bumblebee without the brick limit!

Quoting David Alexander Smith Maybe I'm being unrealistic with the100 piece limit, but I'd like my transformers to transform. Saying that, the face is brilliant and nice PU throughout. Solid entry
I don't think your being to unrealistic with that want, I tried to make it transformable at the start but with tires, and rims counting as individual pieces the part count couldn't support all 4 tires, rims, and mounting axles. while still being a articulating figure. like I said in the last line I am working without the limit to redesign with more features and hopefully a good transformation. lastly the head will not be changing in anyway :)

Quoting matt rowntRee Certainly the most interesting combination of oxygen tanks and bananas these pages have ever seen! That one there gets a standing ovation, Sir. Brilliant! And, not only is it brilliant, but it also adds to the character of Bumblebee quite perfectly. In tandem with the cheeses, it is truly Bumblebee. Thatís how you achieve a complete aesthetic vision. Additionally, the fact that you managed to squeeze life into a lifeless robot made of lifeless Lego shows an ability to communicate further than the media alone. I donít see the comic relief, two-dimensional, Michael Bay contraption, I see the original Transformer that carried the pride of the Autobots into battle in spite of his miniscule frame. I prefer the boxy quality of something that looks like itís only a couple of steps away from being a car rather than the crazy, mindnumbing, bangs, bells, and whistles associated with a massive budget. This is the Transformer I remember and enjoy. How you got all five Mystery Pieces into this frame is astounding, and to do it and be so recognizable with life is astonishing. Outstanding!
I've been looking over your comment on Bumblebee for a few days trying to best respond to such high praise. The Short is Thank you very much! when I finished him I knew I had a MOC I'd be keeping on my shelf for a good long while. but to have others as highly regarded as yourself give such praise Bumblebee might just live on indefinitely! Thank you again, for both the contest and the praise.

Mr. Gallardo, I think I like the face best. Aside from the obvious appeal (a peal?) of using one of the mystery parts, I really like the effect of those four yellow wedge shapes over the darker colors beneath. It's a cool looking face, contest or not. And the use of yellow is always refreshing. It's just a color that does not get a lot of play. Well done! Transform... then attack!

Quoting Tim C Very cool, Gallardo. Instantly recognizable. I'm wondering if you decided to do this particular build when you saw the banana as one of the mystery pieces, or was that a happy coincidence? Best of luck in the contest.
I went back and forth on what to build for about a week. nothing was hitting me, so i decided to just start putting parts together. When the head was done I saw Bumblebee. and the rest of the build spawned from there.

Quoting Cheryl P Wow!!!! It's Bumblebee!!!! A great positioning figure and you did it with 100 pieces. Excellent part usage on your creation. Unfortunately for me, mine can only stand straight up and down like a stick.
Thank you, as a transformer movement is kind of required of him, yours might not move much but she looks great this will be a tough contest I'm sure
