German steam engine BR64 on the Steinford viaduct
My German steam train engine with some cars on the Steinford viaduct crossing the small river called "Bricke" in the Steinford mountains.
About this creation
Hi,

today I want to present my BR64 and some old two-axle train cars from the 1930s.

They are placed on my new Steinford-train layout. The first thing I'll show to you is the viaduct crossing the small river called "Bricke". Right and left of the viaduct you can see the Steinford mountains.

Here are some further pics of the train and waggons:

I love dark green! Here are the cars:

The train disappearing in the tunnel:

I hope you enjoyed the pics. Feedback is much appreciated.

here you can find high resolution pics (4000x3000):

Quoting BrickBuilder7622 . This MOC is a dream come true; it's rare to see a diorama like this, in such grand detail and realism. I would really like to make a scene like this if ever I get time. Really super-outstanding job! Everything is flawlessly built! Amazing! 5/5! :-)
Thank you. That is what I wanted to hear! Realism... Sounds good.

I am working for the Jewish Federation of Greater Toledo and we are honoring some individuals at our Annual Meeting. The theme this year is "Building Blocks for our Future" We are looking for Judaic objects created out of Legos (Noah's Arc, Moses parting the sea, menorah, Jewish Flag). If this is something you might be interested in please email me @ Colette@jewishtoledo.org. Thank you

Quoting Wolverine . Oh, cool! I can't wait to see further progress!
You will see the next parts of the layout in some month. I'm preparing a Lego-exhebition in Germany in August and then I'll preset it complete, including the village in front of the bridge...

Quoting Tyler Berry Are the mountains lego also?
Yes, they are 100% lego, incl. the construction inside. It took me nearly all of my light gray slopes and bricks... But I'm on a good way to restock for further mountain. It is not finished yet.

Quoting Isaiah Marc I am speechless! This is incredible, I don't know how you made it, but you have done an excellent job!
Thanks! I'm a fan of regular Lego building, simply put bricks together and use some snot. The curved railroad is made by straight segments between non rectangular pilars. The outer length of the pilars is larger than on the inside.

Quoting Wolverine . Is the tunnel actually a tunnel? If so, THAT IS AWESOME!!!! Great work with the rocks, and everything else!
No, the tunnel ends after a few studs. The mountain ends directly after the entrance. But I planned further modules to continue the mountain and tunnel. Maybe next winter I'll enlarge the mountains and the tunnel. But before that I've to collect a lot of new material of bricks and slopes in old light gray.

Quoting Digital Dreams Outstanding. This is one of those MOCs that looks like the train and the bridge were fun to build but the rockwork at the back a massive PITA!
I don't know what to rate as the better fun. Sometimes it wasn't a fun to put all these tiny plates for the bridge together; you do not see any progress. Building the rocks is easier because the 75°-slopes allow fast building.

Quoting Mark Kelso Great work on both the train elements as well as the surrounding environment. I'm just completing a landscape project, so the rock work in the background really caught my attention - beautifully done.
I studied your Apocalypsis series very often and intensive. I think it is the best rock work I've found while searching for other examples. I experimented with your building technics very often and got great results. But I decided to stay closer to the original Lego-style though your building technic is much more realistic. It's my style to use lego as it is intended to be used, staked together or snotted. My testing of your way was great but I've been worried about stability for my mountains beeing close to 1m in hight. I'm very curious to see your project.... Andreas
