"Who let JACK out!?"
About this creation

I'll start off by posting this image of the original character that Mike made so you can see the comparisons/differences throughout the post.
He looks like a comical larvae type character with large eyes and less than frightening little fangs.
Check out the original here: Mike's Original Creation

As you can already see in comparison, my version isn't as 'cute n cuddly' as the original one but my main goal whenever I thought of doing this moc was to make it seem like some terrible beast.

A technique I've seen used before on other mocs but never used myself is Exo-Force fingers plugged into each other to make a tongue.
I've also stuck to the original by not having a lower jaw and keeping to a few teeth. By a coincidence, it's 6, the same as the original.

Whereas the original seemed to use it's tail for primary movement and have it's hands for free-use, my JACK uses his arms/hands much like legs as his primary form of mobility whiles also being aided by his tail.

Side shot of the chest area which came out like ribs, an effect I've never achieved before. You can also see some crimson parts in there to represent a heart. This and the tongue are the only parts of the moc I could say are living (story-wise) whereas the rest is more of an undead being.

I was going to give my version a triple claw piece for the tail end but went with a simple pincer in the end instead.

A much clearer shot of the chest area showing the ribs and heart.

A Space Police minifigure serves as the dashing hero come forth to slay the terrible beast.

Looking at the Crocs capes from the Chima line gave me the idea to use them as a blood splatter effect as they have a worn look with holes and the end is also tattered which works.

"Oh dear"

"It seems that our heroes' quest ends in defeat"

A while ago I knew a mocer named Mike but you guys may know him better as Railblade or MikeInTheBox. He made a small, somewhat comical moc named 'JACK' which I said I'd make in my own style as I usually do if I decided to attempt someone else’s character.
It's been along time coming (I think about 10 months) but here he finally is.

Hi, Ever since I watched the movie The Host, I have been fasinated by these no back leg creatures. I have been drawing them and sculpting them with clay. I am a huge fan of legos. Mostly all the things I make are mechs. I was looking through your pics and saw this and I said to myself.. omg its beautiful.. forget izzo's mechs and retinene's pokemons.. this is just amazing.. I litterly am in love with this creation. I think I would be so happy if you sent the instructions to my email or the actual thing to my address. You are so inspiring to me.. Thank you.
