About this creation
"I am headed north. That was what I had planned. But they are drawing ever closer behind me. My only chance now is to pick them off whenever they draw too near..."

Qinon dashes up the path, along the edge of the woods. He knows they are close, but how close, he cannot tell.

Making a decision, he enters the woods. If there is someone close behind him, he would know soon enough... and take action.

Hardly a minute passes before an assassin darts along the path. He is all in black; there is no doubt he is a man of the Black Lotus.

He does not seem to notice Qinon, but Qinon sees him clearly: He is not human, not of any race that Qinon knows. Made by magic maybe, or summoned from some extreme place.

Fast as lightning, Qinon acts. They are no longer separate actions to him. Draw the arrow, nock, aim and fire. All in one smooth motion. Taking barely half a second.

The arrow hits spot on, just as Qinon knew it would. As the assassin tumbles into the dirt, Qinon has the thought that it was too easy. All his prior encounters with the Black Lotus had been hard fights at least, and he had nearly died several times.

But there is no time to wonder. More of the Black Lotus are on their way. Qinon has no way of really knowing, but something down in his stomach tells him so. There is no time to waste. He heads into the woods.

"I head into the forest, the terrain I know best. My training is meant for that land. They don't call me the Lost Ranger for nothing... If I am to make a stand, that is the place."

***

Figless. Nothing new for most of it, except that I had never before tried landscaping with 1x1 bricks. I think it is very effective... Thanks to Halhi for the tip. The tops of the trees are kind of meager, I know, but I didn't even need them for the pictures, so I guess it is better than nothing.

Well, this freebuild basically sets the stage for my UC. I made it because I felt compelled to make trees after going on a few hikes into the redwoods at Mendocino on vacation. I hope you liked it!

Seems that your outlaw still wants to get rid of Black Lotus members... Same thing with me. Come with Skelletor, and my page... Together, hopefully the LOTUS will fall?

Quoting Benhamin Eukatah Great... But the Lotus will come back!!! I hope they do not get you...
That will be seen when my storyline progresses... The best is yet to come!

Neat!

Something else I noticed is how uniform the dark green is. Try making the slope of it a little less precise/repetitive, to give it a more natural feel.

Quoting Halhi 141 I think this has the same problems as the upper level of the build it's based off: too clean and too bare. It could use a lot more details/colors and such; a clean look isn't really aesthetically appealing in terms of more advanced building. Still, the layering is pretty good
This was just a small build for story, which is why I didn't really try all too hard. What you bring up is interesting though. I see what you mean by plain look. Although I did make the landscaping brown around the stumps of the trees to show roots and dirt.

Quoting Kai Bernstein Great landscaping! The attention to detail is nice as well - the way you made brown turn into green on the outside. Other details, though, not so much: the path could use some stones, and the greenery, especially the forest, needs foliage. The forest should look a lot denser even if it is the edge. Regardless, great build!
Thanks! Yeah, the path could use some stones, but the generic look of the landscape would be lost a little if I did that... still, good point. With the forest, I ran out of foliage, space, and brown _x1 plates... But I will make sure to make it denser in my next forest build (which is coming up).
