Tall Man In Tights: Little John
“… if we don't get no tolls, then we don't eat no rolls.”
About this creation
Yes, Little John made that rhyme up himself! And he proudly tells Robin Hood just so in Mel Brooks’ film Robin Hood: Men in Tights! So, Robin tells Little John that he is afraid he will have to hurt him, if Little John does not let him pass!

Pals!

For a close up of Robin Hood as he appeared in my entry to round 1 of Yuri’s 5th MOCiversary Contest, click on this LINK. Enjoy! :)

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 hey! I just noticed, it s my face! lol, do you mean anything by that you funny girl? lol.
Oh my... so it is! I must confess that, as much as I am tempted to tell you that this was intentional, I'm sad to say it really wasn't! I chose the best face that looked like that of Little John from the movie! But perhaps I might find some reprive in saying that I find this face attractive! :)

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 ha, ha, this is brilliant and tremendously funny, the scene is beautiful, but, the legs s design is a riot! lol.
Thanks Frank! I had a lot of fun with this! :)

Quoting Abby Francis Hahaha, I just watched this movie for the first time the other night! I love this scene. The only thing I would have changed is the river. It was.... Smaller. XP But hey, great build!
Yup, I understand your comment. Actually the 'river' is narrow, its just that it is off to the side on that baseplate. The big expanse of light green is not water. I was hopeing that would add to the ridiculousness of the bridge as in the film. I could have pulled it off better had the blue water been centered. I thought about this and almost didn't post it until I could order small trans blue pieces to build my own 'river', but right now I have other BrickLink buying priorities. But I would like to venture into rocks and running water building eventually as I acquire the right pieces! Thanks for taking the time to comment! :)

Quoting Dr. Monster Nice MOC. Great design for the bridge, and the vegetation looks terrific.
Hey thanks. The vegetation is a tad sparse in the overall build, but I do like the way it appears in the first photo. I'm learning. :)

Quoting David Roberts What a brilliant idea for medevil tights.
Ha, ha... I've been toying with the idea of a medevil belt! ;)

Quoting Hayden . Great build! I love that bridge design, and the use of peg legs as tights!
Yup, those peg legs have been alot of fun! I only wish LEGO made the 1x1 plates with hook in either color of brown! :)

Quoting Nick Barrett Hee hee. A classic build for a classic film. Love that bridge idea.
I'm on this 'creating minifig character kick' right now and I think what started this 'Men in Tights business', was my watching the film one night while I was doodling with my fig pieces! I still think the best idea I have seen using those treads is their use as stairs and I'm ashamed right now that I can not recall who did it! :)

Quoting Gale Winthrope Because we're men, we're men in tights, MANLY MEN! This one gave me a good laugh Topsy, nicely done. The bridge is a bit big, for this scene, but I think the charm of it makes up for it :)
Thanks so much Gale! As I replied to Abby, I was not in the pieces to do a true 'river'. And I'm making those pricey tank treads earn their keep! :)

Quoting matt rowntRee And, he can actually speak with an English accent. Ooooooh. XD Nice one, classic scene. God bless Mel. Fun build Topsy, love how you've taken to those tank treads. BTW I can't wait to show you what my entry is for Yuri, I think you will definitely get a kick out of it. ;)
Thanks. I'm on some kind of character kick right now and am busy making and naming minifig characters. What I will do with them all only the future will tell. And yes, I'm making those treads do alot of duty! You are scaring me... I hope I won't be the only one to 'get a kick' out of your entry! You know I will be watching for it. :)

Quoting Mark McPeek Haha! Great work! I really like the detailing!
Thanks, I have never really done much in water vegetation. I don't have a lot of pieces for that theme. But I spent 5 years of my childhood being a tomboy wandering around streams and such looking for crayfish, frogs and turtles! Perhaps it helped? :)

Thanks Clayton... you never know, this might not be the end of this film's characters in LEGO! I'll see. :)

Quoting Cheryl P I like the legs.
Thanks, I must be slow... it took me a bit to figure out how to safely remove the legs from the hips! I had to buy a couple extra pirate leg pieces! I now have several right legs in black! Ha, ha! :)

Quoting David Alexander Smith What base plate is that, the colours are hop great. Glad to see these tight clad fellas at it again!
Shhh... baseplate, isn't that a naughty word?! If memory serves me, it came with a Paradisia set? I know the backdrop is nothing spectacular but I'm fond of these two figs! Thanks for commenting! :)
