Churchill VII 1/15 (RC)
Yet another British monster
About this creation
Sorry about the delays again, I had to spend countless hours studying for the ACT. This build is one of my most complex builds and also one of my longest builds (over 70 Studs). It utilizes components from previous builds. The 2 speed transmission is from my M8 GMC, the turret traverse mechanism is from my E-100. overall this build was interesting to build and it involved a lot of angles that bricks can't form without SNOT techniques. (turret, First and last wheels on suspension required some work with technic beams. The tank features lights, full suspension, 2 speed transmission, 360 turret rotation, gun elevation and depression, and openable hatches.

Front hatches open. hatch next to Besa machine gun controls lights, dirvers hatch controls main battery box for hull. The Besa has full rotation on a ball pivot

Besa mounted in turret and turret details

the asymmetrical turret was a interesting part of the build to achieve (it also houses a AAA battery box, M motor, and IR receiver)

suspension

I wonder what I'm building next...

This is one of my favorite tanks on WOT and I love everything about this Lego Tank. This one compared to the rest this one is my favorite.

This looks sleeker than the original, kind of sport-version. Very good design, especially the front and turret.

Quoting Loek Marcus Design is gorgeous. The size makes the details look great. I do think it's too flat, too long, or too small, but the proportions are not really how I'd see a perfect Churchill. Great creation nevertheless, any chance on a Conqueror/Centurion 7? Those are my favorites :)
Yea I will be building a centurion and I might build a Cromwell too but they might be built next year or maybe later on this year.

Quoting Christian Collins Very nice Churchill! My one complaint, though, is that it seems the Turret is a little too far back.
The main reason for that is the hull is 10 studs too long because of the road wheels.

I'd pay good money for this, if I had money. It looks great! (I like the Churchill tanks in WoT, as well).

Quoting killswitch95 [DEMON] sooooo bridge layer first, then Black Prince? i cant get over how me and Alex had the same idea haha its funny
Not sure yet, it will be for sure a bridgelayer but the BP would be a lot of work to do because I would have to rebuild the entire middle hull. Also I'm short on tiles. So my next build after the bridgelayer will be either a Sdkfz 9/1 or a pz II luchs.

This is great! You rarely see such a great tank on such a large but detailed scale! Great Work! Maybe you could convert it into a Churchill Crocodile next?

Quoting Alex Sonny That is true. And I'd love to see both tanks, so go ahead with the bridgelayer, maybe even add functions to it so that it can lay the bridge down! Either way, it's going to be amazing and I can't wait.
It will lay a bridge.

Quoting Alex Sonny Yeah, what Killswitch below me said! The tracks are already there, just widen the hull for about 4 studs, add a new bigger turret and it's a perfect A43 Black prince.
But if I do that it would be a very difficult process and it would prevent me from building a churchill bridgelayer and that will be a complex project because of the articulation of the bridge.

Quoting jack kenyon As a Brit, this thing means something special to me, and you built it fantastically well. The details and functionality are great, and the lines are sleek and refined. I am sure you can tell it is a bit too long and not tall enough though. Was that because you based the length off of the road wheels? I know that it wouldn't be accurate, but you could always knock off one of the wheels per side to shorten it a bit. Less accurate, bt you would get the Churchill proportions better. Either way, good to see more British work from you. Keep it up! No more of that US or German stuff! :D
The whole build is 10 studs too long but that's mainly from the suspension.

I've been following the progress on Flickr and it's finally here!! It's definitely one of your best models yet, mainly because of the looks: very smooth. The part where the turret meets the hull is very nice, because it's a historical detail. This is really awesome.

Quoting James Prins I think that this is one of your best creations so far! At first it looked a bit too long, but I think that it was just the angle of the one photo that threw me off. I really like the turret; very well done. Try a Centurion next?
The whole build is about 10 studs too long but I will remove the turret and convert the hull to a bridgelayer, I might build a centurion in the future.

Quoting Claw Paradox Does look a bit too low to the ground, might just be the camera, but otherwise fantastic!
It does sit abit low because of the suspension flexing because of the weight
