Cold War: 1960's Super Pack
A collection of a wide variety of Cold War designs.
About this creation

This is the M56 Tank Destroyer that uses our new AGM-22 anti-tank missile. It has 2 launchers and is capable of carrying 12 missiles. It has one light machine for defense and has an operational range of 380 kilometers.

This is the ACV-1 (Airborne Combat Vehicle), an airmobile infantry fighting vehicle that is also fully amphibious. It has a crew of 4 and carries extra soldiers. It has a low velocity 75 mm gun as well as 3 anti-tank missiles and a coaxial machine gun

This is the M109 Howitzer, which will be slowly phasing out our older artillery systems. It has a 155mm gun with an effective range of 11 miles at a max rate of 6 rounds per minute. It has a .50 caliber machine gun for defense.

This is the TD 103, an advanced turretless tank destroyer that we believe is superior to any other TD in the world, including German designs. It is designed for defensive hull down combat and is equipped with autoloader-fed 105 mm gun for a RAF of 15 RPM. Two light machine guns and an anti-aircraft gun add to the defensive firepower. The "Fence" on the front of the vehicle held to defeat HEAT rounds and anti-tank missiles and the frontal armor is immune to virtually all enemy tank guns. The TD 103 is fully amphibious and has a dozer blade on the front for entrenchment purposes.

This is the MBT-64, a new tank that is set to replace our older MT-54. Both our new tank and older model take inspiration from our Russian ally's designs. We believe this to currently be one of if not THE best tanks in operational use. It has 16–599 mm of armor thickness, an armament of a 125mm main gun, and both a light machine and a remote controlled heavy machine gun used for anti-aircraft duties. With fuel tanks is has a range of 410 miles at up to 35 mph.

This is the MH-6 Little Bird, a light helicopter used for special operations. They can carry up to 6 passengers and carry a mix of miniguns, rocket pods, and anti tank missiles. The Little Bird has a range of 270 miles.

This is the CH-47 Chinook, a large yet fast transport helicopter used to carry soldiers (up to 55), cargo (28,000 lbs), and vehicles. Armament consists of two defensive 7.62mm machine guns.

This is the AH-58 Cheyenne, a cutting edge gyrodyne gunship that has only just entered operational service (and to be honest still has some bugs to work out from being rushed into service). However, it is extremely formidable, and currently holds the world record for being the fastest helicopter at 244 mph. It has a range of 1,225 miles so it is fully capable of long-range distance missions. Armament consists of a 30mm auto cannon and an automatic 40mm grenade launcher with 300 rounds plus 6 hard points that commonly carry a mix of 12 TOW missiles and two 70mm rocket launchers.

This is the AV-8A Harrier, a VTOL ground attack jet built as a collaborative effort with our British allies. It can be used either on land in dispersed locations without vulnerable airbases or on smaller carriers and assault ships. The max speed is 730 mph with a combat radius of 230 miles with 4,000 lbs of munitions. Armament consists of 2 30mm cannons and a variety of bombs, rockets, and missiles.

This is the AC-103, a modified version of our C-130 that acts as a gunship for ground attack and close air support. Two 20mm cannons, two 40mm bofors cannons and a 105 howitzer make up this aircraft's formidable armament.

We've already shown our F-4 phantom II before but we wanted to inform you that it has fully entered service and is no longer in the prototype stage.

This is the SR-71 Blackbird, a Mach 3.3 capable recon airplane that we totally promise isn't used for spying on Korea and the German Empire *. We expect it to slowly faze out our older and slower U-2 spyplanes. It is so fast that it can simply outfly most missiles and virtually all enemy aircraft that it will encounter and has a massive range of 5,600 miles. It may or may not be stealthy in a similar way to our B-55 flying wing but we can't talk much about this feature.

This is the F-12B, an interceptor extremely similar to the SR-71 with some minor differences to the airframe. It can carry 4 long-range high performance AIM-47 Falcon missiles.

This is the Grumman C-2 Greyhound, a carrier based logistics aircraft.

This is the Grumman E-2 Hawkeye, a carrier-borne AEW aircraft that helps provide our navy with better tactical awareness.

This is the North American A-5 Vigilante, a carrier based strike bomber/recon aircraft. It has a max speed of mach 2, a combat radius of 1,300 miles, and 6,000 lbs of bombs.

This is the Portland Class Destroyer Leader, an overly complicated classification of ship that would probably be better classified as a cruiser. It is nuclear powered and has a primary armament of 2 5 inch guns, a RIM-2 Terrier missile launcher (with a supply of up to 60 missiles), and 2 3"/50 caliber AA guns. It is capable of carrying 1 helicopter.

This is the Sturgeon-class nuclear submarine, which is intended to form the backbone of our new submarine fleet. Armament consists of 4 torpedo tubes with 15 reloads and 4 anti-ship missiles.

This is the USS Enterprise (CVN-48), the world's first nuclear powered aircraft carrier and the first of the Enterprise Class. it's namesake comes from the famous US Navy carrier from before the Second American Civil War that took place in the 1940's. It is armed with 3 RIM-2 missile launchers for self defense and can transport up to 90 aircraft.

Quoting jack kenyon These are all fantstic vehicles! Clearly a lot of time has gone into them all but in my opinion the S-tank takes the crown. Can I have full production rights to it? I always thought they would be effective in the hilly British Isles as much as in sweden.
Yes, go right ahead and feel free to produce it. The harrier is also free for you to produce if you wish.

Quoting Nathan Elkins Is that BMD the MOC you commented about on my BMD-2?
Sort of, yes. It's a recreation (not a mod, recreating is SO much more fun). I'm currently writing up the information for all the designs and will be sure to get the credit written at the bottom of the page.

Quoting Emil Storm Really nice work, the t55 and t72 are very accurate, and is that a Swedish stridsvogn? That one has always had a special place in my heart:)
Yes, it is indeed an STRV 103, it was such a unique vehicle so I just had to build it.

Quoting TheWolfBrigade 01 Pretty cool stuff. I'm just surprised that you prefer Soviet styled tanks than pure American tanks like the Patton since your playing an American based faction.
Well, honestly I'm not a big fan of the Patton family, and since I'm allied with the soviets using Russian designs isn't that odd.
