Plymouth Barracuda (1970)
I've always thought that I tend to build in rather boring colours. After a few BL orders, that has now changed!
About this creation
It has taken me quite a long time and a fair bit of money to finally get all the parts I needed for this, but it's good to see it finally come together. I was surprised that all (nearly all - the 1x2 with bar piece) of these pieces were produced in orange.

Credit for the Exhaust technique goes to Nils O.

Now - which do you prefer, the stock 'Cuda or Batman's custom version?

(Also available in very, very dark grey)

A little teaser of something that is close to being completed!

Thanks for viewing!

Quoting Nate Andrews Totally worth it!!! The orange and the chrome are a fantastic combination! I also like the idea of putting the 1x1 tile on diagonally to make the shaker hood.

Quoting Joe Seaman Absolutely stunning star!!! Love the wheels so much (not to be rude, but where did you get them, oh and the orange trunk ;) anyway overall a stunning design and I love the way it looks the best!!! Sorry about the asking of where you got the pieces, but they look fantastic! I would be very great full for an answer, thanks, and congratulations!!! :D
Thank you very much - no need to be sorry! The orange pieces were from a number of different stores, and the chrome pieces are custom chromed by a German Bricklink store appropriately called Chrome Bricks. Thanks again!

Hi Starscream Soundwave! Congratulation for this car and for the patient for collecting the right pieces! :-)
  April 12, 2014
Quoting Starscream Soundwave Isn't this just a slightly altered version of the official set?
Yes, my FXX is only a modification of the original set. Last week I tried to build it and I didn't like it, so I modified it. As you can see, the rear and the doors have been rebuilt. I think now it looks better, doesn't it? :D

Excellent work! I would have been surprised if those parts didn't come in orange, from what I see they aren't really specialized parts. The only one that I could see not coming in orange is the curvy part on the back. Awesome work! :D Next big scale in orange? ;)
