The Guardian of the Gate V1
Taking my largest and possibly my ugliest MOC (besides Metru Man) and turning it into a smaller and hopefully better looking one. This is the Guardian of the Gate!
About this creation

The Gate:

The Gate is a rip in the fabric of reality which bridges the world of the living to the world of the dead. Although it is impossible to pass through the Gate alive without the protection of the Key to the Gate, the idea of potentially ressurecting individuals is still possible.

The rip is as old as the universe itself, but was only noticed by the Great Beings after the formation of Racta Magna, which had formed around the Gate. The Great Beings were horrified by the fact that one could access the world of the dead and potentially ressurect dead beings. First, they built a temple in Racta Magna's core to protect the Gate. They then built a key, allowing access to the temple by teleportation and allowing one to pass through the Gate itself unharmed. Finally, they constructed the Guardian to protect both the Key and the Gate.
The Gate remained dormant for some time, until the being known as Thanatos accessed the temple on two occasions, with intention of destroying the planet and the Gate with it. Thanatos was fortunately stopped by the Toa Racta. After the event, both the key and the Guardian were locked inside Nebulus' Black Hole Staff, preventing further access to the Gate.

The Gate, the key, and the Guardian have all remained dormant since.

The Guardian:

The Guardian is a large robot constructed by the Great Beings to protect the Gate. It will attack anyone who approaches the Gate indescriminately, oblivious to the intentions of the agressor. The Guardian's only weapon, despite its amazing strength, is a desintigration ray which it shoots from its eye.

The Guardian was constructed by the Great Beings shortly after the Mata Nui Robot, using similar materials and technology. The Guardian was then placed inside the temple of the Gate and then locked in. It was awakened many years later when the Key was taken by a member of the Cult of Thanatos. It managed to retrieve the key relatively quickly and headed back to the Temple, until it was attacked by the Destroyer's Three. They stole back the Key, leaving the Guardian stranded on the surface for quite some time.
As soon as it got the oppertunity to return to the temple, it encountered Thanatos, who was trying to destroy the Gate. The two titans battled for a while before the Guardian was defeated. Afterwards, both titans and the key were trapped inside Nebulus' Black Hole Staff.

The robot has been trapped in the staff ever since.

Here he is, the Guardian, in all his glory! He barely fits into the box which I use to take photos, so sorry if some of these pics are a little awkward.

The back... erm... I've done better back covering in my time...

Charging up...

...firing.

Note: this is for comedy only. This does not reflect my view on Bionicle or Hero Factory. Both are pretty awesome.

War of the special effects; Migor's firey breath vs The Guardian's desintigration ray.

The Guardian and Thanatos. I decided to have the Guardian much smaller than Thanatos, because... well, Thanatos is nearly a God, whilst the Guardian is just a robot. I thought Thanatos deserved the bigger presence.

Be excited. Be very excited.

Well, until Raxy comes along, that's all folks!

Quoting Chopperskull (Jon Z) I think this is really cool! I love the flow of the body design, shoulders and head. I do find the lower legs could be much better, since it kinda looses the flow, but it's a great moc. Maybe It's because I'd love to see them be custom ! :D
Glad you like it! :D but yeah, the lower legs are pretty weak, I may try and fix them.

Quoting Dark Aeon Nice! Although, I thought the other one was a little cooler (who doesn't like a gigantic killer robot that can obliterate you instantly!).
Yeah, it was a little larger and a little more threatening, but at least this one stands up properly, unlike the first version :P

Quoting Legobob 29 This is really cool, man. A huge improvement on the previous version. The scaling down in size definitely works as looking back on the old one he was wayyyyy too lanky and skinny. But you really smashed it this time! You did an excellent job on this guy. Well done, and I'm looking forward to this "Rax" you speak of! ;)
"Raxy" actually, but yeah :p thanks man :)
