.......................ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY IN CYBERCITY.......................
.......................DAILY TRAFFIC, RESIDENTS DOING THEIR BUISNESS..........
.........................ANOTHER DAY THE MAYOR TOURS THE GF AGENTS.........
Frankly Mr Mayor, we re curious about this station,
it serves trains, buses, and aerial vehicles?
Yes, it s centralized for multi transport services.
What about spaceships?
We can accommodate those as well, but, only small ones.
I hope it conforms with the space station s customs.
the station is in constant communication with it,
when space travel is involved, we would nt want an alien disease outbreak,
or intergalactic outlaw gang to land here!
We have pretty tight security here, notice that we encourage people to
use bicycles to get here.
Pollution does nt concern us Mr Mayor, profits do!
Once the tourists disembark from the train, they can use taxis which are parked
between the bank and the multi-level public parking, or, these 2 types of buses,
yellow is for Cybercity and small cities nearby, and the red ones are for long distances,
cities far away up to Globolopolis!
it pretty much has the same travel plan as the trains, except slower, and cheaper!
Not too cheap I hope!
Here is the chief of the station Mr Duval!
as most stations s chiefs, he stresses for time!
does nt anybody get that we block traffic in the city when the train is waiting?
Give us the quick one Mr Duval, just about the trains,
I will cover the rest of the station.
I was hoping you d say that!
Pinky toy is doing a concert, and the train is filled with tourists!
Straight in front of the entrance is the elevator,
it leads to the airport, toy shop, and landing pads.
Here you can notice many things...
the blast doors are closed, it s a security measure in case of crazy locomotives, fires,
or any other emergency to seal the station from the train tracks,
at my left, of course, fire extinguishers, above there is information about the trains destinations and schedules,
far to the right is one of the 2 water mains of the station,
next, is an automatic ticket dispenser, so that I don t have to manage all the tickets
by myself, there is another board of information, and above it is a tv to entertain the customers.
We have more of the same on this side, except for my office, the safes for money transfers, and mail, vending machines are available on both sides,
to get the customers something to drink on their journey.
Courtesy of the GF of course!
Once we open the blast doors, we have access to the mail-money transfer wagon,
of which Mr Gordon insures the security...
Does nt he carry a gun?
He does nt have to, he has a walkie linked to the police station,
besides, there is another security agent on board the wagon who also communicate with the police.
The train only has 20 persons seat capacity, but, due to it s great speed,
it can make up to 6 trips per day to Globo and back.
On the other side of the debarking dock is a service dock with tools
and service equipment.
Well, that was all about the trains,
I hope you enjoy the rest of the tour!
It was very informative Mr Duval, it is sure to help in our re-structure of the station!
Can you tell me why you felt compelled to stress this man by saying a thing like that?
he s been through 2 mariages because of the stress of his work already,
he did nt need you to add more!
Does nt he know why whe re here?
Would you rather us telling him he s fired at the last second?
you re pretty cold Mr Mayor, even by our standards!
Nobody is losing his work ok?
we ll get more people visiting the city, you re supposed to make the highways safe,
that s what s putting this city down!
people are afraid to travel outside of Globolopolis!
Security patrols cost money Mr Mayor, none of the small cities can afford the bill,
Mr Gordon or Duval s salary can help towards that.
Find something else!
Here is the toy-souvenirs shop, it s pretty popular, the tourists buys a little something to take home.
2 employees? where is the customers s line up?
...Uhhmmm, it would seem we have just missed it!
And this is the airport!
Please don t tell us all those pilots are on the city s payroll!
Actually, no, they are customers, it s a pilots s guild meeting, some of
them must have an helicopter on the roof.
And here are the landing pads on the roof!
2 other employees?
With the 3 of the airport, + 2 of the toy shop, this building is the money pit!!!
Sorry to disturb you folks, but, just what is this planet?
I thought you said you cleared all ships by the space station?
Then how can this man not know where he is?
I...I don t know!
we will go down and ask....
......................IN ORBIT AROUND ALTA-5 AT THE SPACE STATION......................
This is the Clang!
we demand you deliver a known criminal that you harbour on your planet at once!
SPACE STATION S CHIEF;
...Just who is this clown?......
Listen, I don t know who you think you re in contact with,
but, this is the Global Federation s space station,
and we have no idea who or what you are referring to...
Then we demand an audience with an high authority figure from your faction immediately!
it is of the utmost importance!
One last thing before we check this pilot,
the only major drawback of the station is the traffic caused by the dissembarkment
of the tourists, both north roads are blocked while it happens,
it only lasts a few minutes, but, as the popularity of the city will rise,
so will this problem, fortunately, there are 8 access roads to the city, so, it s fairly easy to deviate to the east or west.
We ought to clear this area from trees, we could make lots of money from it!
the residents love the trees and wildlife!
it s one of the most appealing factor for tourists!
So many animals here, does nt it bother you?
Of course not!
we have developed a kind of symbiosis with them!
as an example, the birds eat the insects, it makes us save on pesticides and medicare!
You re a good salesman Mr Mayor!
tomorrow, we will tour the bank!
CREATOR S LOG;
ok, the station is done, below you will find why it was hard for me to do this post,
and will give you an idea of my future posts.
my next one should be the Metal Legion #3!
this is my new set-up for bigger scenes, it s a hassle, but, it delivers!
wow, overwhelming how much you have built here. The train looks great. the whole scene is very lively. Great story, with effect smiled. And the trees also look simply great. Just about everything is great
Ah... that train is one of the most original designs I have seen in ages. It's so cool and modern. Those agents may be penny wise, but dollar foolish. They have no sense of real value or of social justice. I feel the tension building with every frame of narrative. Keep going Cyberfrank. I NEED to know what happens next! Attack!
Quoting Scott Bertaut
thanks Scott! for the grammar I really try, but, I speak French, and it does nt always come to me in the right way, if you can correct me on it, I d like it, as I really mean to write it correctly.
An all-in-one transportation station is a really nifty idea. The part about the orbiting space station is really funny. I do not like those GF Agents that much. What ever happened to doing a public service and not worrying about money or profit? It seems as though the GF does not care about the greater good. This is a great build, though. All of the little details really make this stand out.
Wow, great work on the station, I love the train locomotive! Good dialog too although I'd recommend reading through it, there are some grammar errors. Hope I have the space and parts to do a large display like this sometime, it is really awesome looking with the trees and such.
Oh my Frank! So much to take in and love! On my first trip I pay attention to the storyline... and it's certainly spellbinding! Then on my next trip thru, I digest all the buildings, details, etc... and they are all fabulous! Now all I can do is await the Clanger... wait, not true, I'll probably return again just to make sure I didn't miss anything! :)
Quoting christophe corthay
merci beaucoup Chris! heu, ouais mais, je commence a etouffer, bientot, il va falloir que je dorme SOUS les scenes, lol, je vais surement poster un cyberjournal pour montrer ca.
That was perfect! The Clang said just what I was wanting the Clang to say! Chris was perfect too. And that episode was great! I think you should add a of the plane black figures in just backgrounds later...good job! And thank you!
Wow Frank, again a very creative and well thought out story. Was again much fun reading it and watching the pics of your superb city. Love the station and the forest behind it. Really nice work my friend! I'm very busy at the moment due to the work on the new MTA bus.
Just glorious! The immersiveness is incredible, you could have entered this into the Mocathlon with no problems! the little twist with the aliens is cool too (is the guy who just landed the bad guy?), and your story-telling skills just keep getting better and better. Can't wait for the next episode!
Quoting El Barto !
thanks El barto! xd, heu, it s not planned to happen in this serie, I will however have to learn to do it for genesis, as it takes place in space, I d love to come across the Gallactica in it, xd, that would be cool, I think I have enough to build an accurate viper replica too.
Thanks man, It's a pretty cool gig being a Dad and having kids, It's my excuse to buy lego too, lol. I bought used before and had to wash 'em too, I find extremely hot water and some Oxyclean works wouders, I usually soak them for an hour or so, then rinse in cold water.
Quoting Lord Bacca
wow, I had no idea you where a father, congrats! ok, well, I did nt buy everything new, when I was with my ex, she had 4 children, I mostly bought material at the flee market, of course, it s more trouble, as you have to wash the bricks, but, it also brought me many very interesting parts, if you are comfortable with what you are doing, talk about it in your suroundings, you might get collections given to you, some people clear their attics, or basements, ect.
Quoting matt rowntRee
thanks Matt! many of the buildings of the city did nt change much, I polished a bit, that s all, what I have added is a way to explain my policy behind the concept of it, Cybercity is kind of a statement on how humans should live, versus where we are or heading, the GF represent the short term view of the men that are leading us in our era, I wanted to set an example for a new and improved kind of world...Alta-5, as the clang are part of a coop project, I m not sure where it will go, I really want to take the difficulty bar highier for the script by incorporating Nick White s concepts, as I will do with anyone involved in coop with me, it s as much a surprise as it is to you, I want to do this as a dungeon master way, where I know the universe, but, do not control the path of the hero, or, it s actions.
Quoting Justin Knelsen
thanks Justin! as ecology is an important part of the reasons I do this, it was imperative that I invested heavily on greenery, as this amount of tree is quite recent, expect improvements in the future posts, as, they are not all on this posts, + I missed a few brown plates to use all my leaves, the trees you see here represent about 60% of what I have.
Quoting Lord Bacca
thanks Lord Bacca! I designed Alta-5 as a kind of eden, filled with animals and green forests, a paradise, coupled with a futuristic technology, best of both worlds, hopefully, as humans, we ll preserve nature as we advance, don t be jealous, make sacrifices as I did, all my money in bricks, it s been 4 years that I accumulate now, look at my first creation on the pages, a bank, you ll see where I m from, do it, and you ll get there!
Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus
thanks Deus! think about your character, as, your time is coming, if you could post something with him, it would be useful to start him, I m not yet sure if he will start in Cybercity, or, Metal Legion yet, but it will happen!
Quoting clayton Marchetti
thanks Clayton! I m not sure what happened with Nick, but, it took a long time for me to insert his chris character in the serie, I m in the process of launching all my series at the same time, so, it takes a long time for a single one to progress, I love coop, so, I m not deciding for the clang, I ll wait and see where Nick wants to go afterwards, the station took a while to design, originally, I wanted to land big airliners, but, I failed to find a suitable concept, maybe one day I will find a solution, I ll probably will be in a house then, and enlarge the city with it.
I love how immersive your builds and stories are. Just when I get completely wowed by the station, you show us a complete park with some of the best trees ever. And then, you give us the Clang, can't wait to see where that goes. Fantastic work Frank, keep 'em coming!
Quoting Cheryl P
thanks Cheryl! xd, I have no mortgage, I can t afford a house yet, in the last pic, you can see my sleeping bag in which I sleep, look at my cyberjournal 11 to see my apartment-studio, since September, it s been 4 years that I ve been investing about 70% of my salary in bricks to establish my movie studio, I hope to make 2 movies for this summer, for the trees, I have invested $500 in tree leaves and stems, in the future posts, you ll understand why.
As usual, Top Notch work here Frankie, the story is moving along very well, I like the forced perspectives you have and all the details you add, nice park with trees and hahaha Monkeys!!!
Still jealous of all the bricks you have.
I take donations. LOL!
I saw the last few pics and had to smile . I was wondering where Chris went to. I had to go to Nicks page and tell him . I'm sure he knows though ha ha ha. That's really cool cross story going on here.
The train station looks really awesome. I just love the futuristic train. I was happy to see lego sets for sale in the toy store. I like how the landing pad on the roof accommodates helicopters and spaceships that's so cool! Excellent work Frank can't wait to see the Bank! And to see where this goes with the Clang!
This is out of sight. So much going on and so much to like. I am so jealous. What am I jealous about. Look at all those trees. You must have taken out a second or third mortgage to be able to afford all of the Lego bricks and parts.
