Cessna 172 Skyhawk
The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is a four-seat, single-engine, high-wing fixed-wing aircraft. More Cessna 172s have been built than any other aircraft.
About this creation

Measured by its longevity and popularity, the Cessna 172 is the most successful aircraft in history. A Cessna 172 was used in 1958 to set the world record for flight endurance; the record still stands.

Quoting Grega V Hey, first I have to say I was looking for a map of Cessna plane for a gift for my friends Cessna Service center. I found yours yesterday and decided to build one with LBB. Attached you will find a bit modified version but I wanna ask you if you can share the front wheel carrier item code, both back wheel codes and front wheel code with me? I cannot find the parts in the software. I will gladly share the plan in Lego *.lxf format. Thanks for help.
Hi, I must admit that the plane would not be able to stand on its back wheels because the weight will make them turn upwards. You'll need either to hang the plane or put it on some sort of a stand. The front wheel carrier's LDD code is 61483. The back carrier is a combination of 6 parts: 30552,30553,32126,32062,6536,32002. I'd really like to see how it looks in real bricks, so make sure to post photos to MOCpages.

Great work! My dad, a private pilot, used to take me flying in a 172. I can definitely trace my love of aircraft back to this plane. Great model and thanks for the memories!

Quoting Michael K. Awesome! I took the controls of one of these for a few minutes (maybe it was a 182). Are you sure about the endurance record still standing? The Rutan Voyager has the current record.
Thanks! Apparently, the Rutan Voyager holds the record in the non-refueled category while the Cessna 172 holds the record in the refueled one. It was refueled from moving truck on ground! Unbelievable! :)

Thank you, Alex! I actually got a 1-meter-wide (3 feet) RC model of Cessna and I love flying it ;)
