Fantasy 2014 Final Round: Thomas B. vs Ranger Elegost
My best MOC ever......
About this creation
Welcome all to my final entry for Fantasy 2014 and my best MOC ever! My amazing opponent Ranger Elegost! Our category is:
"A Mighty Landscape"
"Build a Landscape with rocks, trees ect. Also, Build a duel with two "Mighty" opponents. It has to be BIG! 64x64 or Bigger..."
Mine is finally done! Either it's pretty self explanatory or I don't have time to write much :P Just wanna say I LOVE how the stonework came out, and everything else. Just to point out this MOC is made up with over 8,000 bricks, and weighs over fifteen pounds. It took 12 days to complete. All the given time :D Enjoy the pics!

Now for the great battle. Enjoy!
Brave and fearless ranger, Windrake, battles his foe, Alikor, the black knight.

Windrake loses his sword and is knocked off balance!

Windrake down on the ground, Alikor readies his sword to finish of his enemy.

As his blow comes down Windrake rolls to the left escaping death.

Windrake grabs his blade, and jumps up. The battle continues.

Seeing his chance, Windrake knocks his opponents blade from his hand coming between the sword and Alikor.

Helpless Alikor turns and runs in retreat. Windrake draws a knife, and cocks his arm to throw.

The knife strikes home.

Blood pours out. Windrake prepares to ease his enemy's passing.

Windrake brings his blow down, and looks upon his fallen enemy.

Alikor defeated, Windrake departs.

Hope you guys like it! I think the story about the battle is okay..... Whatever :P Good luck Mr. Elegost! It was a ton of fun building this! :D Thanks for viewing! C&CC are appreciated Thanks!

I don't know HOW in the world I missed this build, but, I decided to comment anyway, even after the judging. This is very pretty build to look at, in my opinion. The amount of detail on the bridge; the little area of green that was "bumped up"; the archway being off to the side instead of smack middle; the layers of stone, yes, I can see that attention to detail was used here. The only areas that I can see with brief look that could use some work are the tiles of the building, which, in my opinion look kind of odd and out of place; and also the trees. About the trees, to put it bluntly, the leaves just don't really have the characteristic bend of real trees. When they stick straight out, they don't look pretty; and also, for the smaller trees, the trunk looks sort of... well, unrealistic. But overall, even though this is supposed to be a battle scene, this MOC looks quite peaceful, and... IDK, pretty to look at, I guess.

In my opinion your opponents build was amzing, but your detail and cleanliness of the build won me over! so... You get my vote

While your build has some great details - including great grass-scaping and pretty rock sculpting, your opponent's build has better techniques and is, in my opinion, more pleasing to the eye. He has my vote.

This is great! While your build was a little cleaner and more well-organized than your opponents, his massive amounts of detail as well as interesting techniques won my vote. Nevertheless, this is a stellar build, and you built consistently well throughout this contest!

Quoting Professor B. Poor fella. ;P Fantastic job, Thomas! Defiantly your best. All those details are incredible! The stonework on your house and your plants are awesome. But I think that the steps cut into the rock should be a little wider. They kinda look like Cirith Ungol stairs (steep, ladder-like steps), if you understand me. Overall, this build is stellar. Good luck man. :D
Thanks Professor! Huh.....I was actually very pleased with how the steps turned out....

Quoting Ranger Elegost Oh my gosh, I'm lost for words :0 that is one brilliant, detailed creation I've seen this year. You've managed to capture this category with sheer excellence, the river, bridge, the rocky landscape, the cottage, they all come together to make this build very realistic :D the detailing, texturing and use of colours throughout this build are top-notch, it's going to be very difficult for me to compare with such a magnificent build. Anyway, best of luck for the judges, although I don't think you need it with this under your belt :)
Thanks Mr. Elegost! Haven't been on the 'pages since I uploaded this, gonna go check out your entry now :D
