DK-07X GUNDAM [2004]
built of my own design: a supposed enemy's GUNDAM. inspired by the Gundam Deathscythe
About this creation
I hold this not as my last, but merely as my most recent Gundam; completed in 2004. Recently i figured i could call it the Darthknight Gundam...

The backpack was an original design built for a previous, much smaller Gundam. I really loved the backpack! [in my hands, it had a solid & rugged feel. it's detachable too] so after scrapping the previous MOC i saved it and later aimed to use it here.

I wanted to post something more to expand my MOCpage so i finally chose pics for one of my Gundams! Also, i intended to simplify my editing process this time... Unfortunately, most of these first shots weren't up to a fair quality standard anyway, so i'm only posting a few. i think i caught a good gist! ALSO: i'd be pleased to receive criticism and commentary on this and/or my other MOC "photo-booth sessions" -- i've only recently hopped onto the internet and would greatly appreciate any modern tips. Additionally, if there are any particular close-ups you'd like to see, let me know!

The true designation number for this Gundam escapes me (it's on an old backup HDD). I've more weapons for it too but they're sealed away! I know a beam scythe fits the rear skirt, including both "stored" and "extended" playable versions. The beamsaber is a stand-in for a more realistic one; it fits snugly into the hip holster though.

ONE DAY LATER: I feel some action shots are necessary but they'll have to wait until i find some weapons. These models are fairly difficult to pose due to weight concerns (pieces involved), so i may need to perform a few non-invasive modifications [upgrades] in preparation.

the first picture ever taken of my LEGO MOC.

The GUNDAM Darthknight was the first Gundam designed of this generation, but the revision seen here is the most advanced evolution of said lineage. In its own time, it is the most refined design I've realized.

Please notice the cool retro building techniques & styling elements used throughout [c. 20012003]! ;] If you have a question or would like to try me out for conversation, send me an email! 13aeon [at sign] gmail "DOT" COM

Thanks for looking! -- Oh! At some point, i also put it up on my flickr!

Great work on this--I'm glad you took some time to get some poses other than it just standing there--it makes a big difference.

Quoting Marcus J. This is actually a great start. The body and legs look good. I think the head could use some more work though, but aside from that pretty cools build. Solid
thank you!!! trust me, this wasn't the first Gundam i built! i can only wish i had pics of those!

Quoting Ryan Wilhelm Very well done, considering the time in which it was built! I used to build gundams back then as well, and mine did not look nearly as clean as this design-wise. Are you still building? Was this guy still together after 10 years?
thank you!!! and you bet! i took these pictures ten years after it was built! i'm starting to build again how about you?
