About this creation
Team Plastic Surgeons

2014 MocAthalon

Nothing much to say except what this build is supposed to be. When I was a kid... Well, a younger kid, I went to a place in Pennsylvania called Cooks Forest. I have amazing memories of that place and as much as I love the beach, I have always wanted to go back for another vacation.

A couple of my most remembered memories are...

Canoeing on the Pennsylvania river. THAT was a blast...

Hiking on the mountain trails and collecting amazing walking sticks...

And staying up late, sitting by the fire... In my very "fashionable" PJs.

Seriously, that place was awesome! So my dream destination for a vacation spot would be back in Cooks Forest, canoeing once more. Here are some extra photos of the build.

A shot of the trees.

Seeing as though I don't have an actual LEGO canoe, I had to improvise. I am very happy with how the finished product turned out. =)

Hahaha, cool fire shot...

And as lame as it is, I figured I would put in a sleeping bag and a little table/stool.

Well, thats all folks!

Awesome Walking stick FTW!! :D I found a permanent one, (thick, tall, and fairly smooth. :D ) not sure where... I almost lost it forever (left it at the park. >:1 ) but a friend of a friend found it and it has since been returned. :) Sweet build, and here's to many more walking sticks!

Wow! I love it! The water and rocks are stellar! You have a very recognizable style... :)

Hello again Abby, Cooks Forest looks like a wonderful place. However, your build looks rather sparse and bare. Also, the water seems very blocky and unpleasing to the eye. Your trees and foliage could use some work as well. That said, nice choice for category -you have me enticed to go there. Score: 2

Thanks Greyson! This is not one of my better builds and yes, I know that. I do wish now that I had added more detail but I really don't have many foliage or water pieces. It stinks. But hey, Cooks Forest IS a wonderful awesome place and you should check it out!

Score = 2 Very sparse, not a lot of detail, really, your canoe pushed it to a 2. The border could use some work as well. Score = high 2

The foliage looks a little sparse, but overall it still has the camping feel to it. Score: 3

Quoting Professor B. Nice job. A little more detail on the ground would be better, though. It looks too flat. A bunch of 1x2 green and brown plates to break up the ground would do nicely. @Chi Warrior: Yeah, that is kinda creepy.
Thanks! And yes, I agree. Looking back, I would have added more detail. The pressure of the last minute entry was getting to me, I guess.

The water looks great. Properly beautiful little campsite. Glad you squared down that deadline and pulled this one out of the bag.

Now that is a place that I would seriously go for a vacation! Peaceful, serene, fun, and without anyone else! Except the wifey, of course. ;) Great river, love the rapids you created. And the mountainside with the trees and the tent (THE ONLY WAY TO CAMP!) is beautiful. Excellent!

Looks great! The only things that I don't like is the picture where all the minfigures don't have heads. Now, THAT is freaky. Still, the vacation spot looks amazing! I now want to go canoeing there. :P
