About this creation
Built for the 2014 Mocathalon
Team Das Lego
Category: A Pirates' Haven
If you were a Pirate, where would you like to call home? Build a sanctuary that a pirate could call his own. No size restrictions.

So I tried to think outside of the box on this one. I knew most people would build wooden shacks on cliffs by the sea or something along those lines, with lots of treasure and rum, so I decided to do something unique. I wanted to do something to do with water and cliffs, as you can see by the final product, but I didn't want to build the same thing as everyone else, of which I'm sure you judges are getting tired of seeing :) Therefore, I decided to build a treehouse sanctuary. I hope you all like it, and wish me luck!

The rope ladder was a fun little side note, and I hope you guys like it!

The "Y" shape of the top of the tree is growing out of the roof of the house, and if you guys were wondering, I used a pitch fork to hole up the tufts, and tentacles on the large outgrowth to creat some wonderful angles.

An artistic shot that I attempted to capture the sunset in. I like how it turned out :)

Arr yan rascals, I am Captain Simpson :) Yep that's my sigfig barechested with dual swords and a pistol. Hope you guys enjoyed this one! Have to rush to finish my other 3 entries!
Thanks for viewing!

A couple interesting NPU spots in there. I think if you would have expanded this idea to a slightly larger scale it would have upped your score. Very nice work with a solid score of 3 ~ Chris.

Nice one! I am just wondering... Ocean is always presented more bluish, so this build gives the sense of being next to a river. What did you intend, river or ocean? Again, good job.

Excellent build all around. I like the atmospheric effect with the shadows against the wall. The netting behind the elevated hut is nice too. Interesting details throughout. At first, I thought that angled tree was a pirate satellite dish. Oops, my eyes fooled me.
