Yikes! This is a little too close to the deadline than I would have liked. But, here's my final entry! Enjoy!
About this creation
My last entry for the JLO contest.
My talented opponent Thomas B. and his awesome entry .

Our category:
How it should have ended: Ever thought a movie could have ended better, or maybe you thought of a new hilarious ending. Either way, show us how you think your favorite movie or story should have ended.

Well, after some time, I was able to come up with something. I chose the Princess Bride. In it, Buttercup jumps out of a window in Humperdinck's castle and the giant Fezzik catches her. Well, Buttercup always did seem bossy. Fezzik was too busy feeding the horses to even notice her. :P

I tried out a new wall technique and I really like the way it turned out. I found it on Flickr and really liked it. I wanted to make some stain glass windows too.

The frightened Wesley looks on as his beloved falls to her death.

The characters. I really like Inigo's face. I also tried to make Fezzik tall, and I think he turned out pretty good. And of course, Buttercup doing a faceplant. :P

Thanks for looking! C and C are welcome! And best of luck to my opponent!

Soli Deo Gloria!

Quoting David .
Oh well... Thanks for judging David (and for the point too). As I said to the other judges, I don't have any square studs that would work. But yes, it defiantly would have effected the build. I had actually planned on building an interior, but I didn't have enough of the right pieces. :( Well, anyway, good for ole' Thomas! :D

Ooook, here we go.... I'll start off with how good I think the endings were. You're build executes when they are all jumping down to Fezzik to ride out of Humperdinks Castle I imagine Butter cup getting all exited with the camera going through the wall as she bursts out the window. Westly screams, and the camera switches to Fezzik as he happily feeds the horses, with buttercup falling behind him and landing with a loud *body hitting pavement sound*. While camera choreography wouldn't be the best, it would certainly add a lot of humor to the scene. XD All in all I think your build better pertained to the category as it actually affected the story. (quite a bit actually. To Miracle Maxs' we go!) A point for you! Now to the build. Yours is a fairly simple looking, complex piece of wall. I feel the windows looked more like candy, and less like stain-glass. Perhaps square bricks instead of round ones. A Point for Thomas. I feel maybe an interior could have affected my decision, but Thomas has my vote. I want to congratulate you on how far you got though!

Quoting Judges
Thanks for all the input judges! I do agree about the colors. But I must say that the cobblestone ground had the same look as the wall in the movie. The window: I didn't have square studs that would work for it, so I had to go with the round studs. But yeah, different colors (such as a different colored base) would work better.

I'll start by saying that this MOC was rather well done. The wall was nicely detailed, I like the pattern and type of bricks you used. Buttercups dress was also well done. Very unique, at least, I have yet to see similar. However, it would have been nice to see the floor being different than the wall. I have never seen the movie but whether or not it was part of the same building I would think the floor would look different than the wall. Also, I found the way you made the stained glass window to be somewhat odd. You used rounded pieces instead of square ones, leaving gaps in the window. It also appears rather random as there is no image in the window. All in all, a good MOC but my vote goes to your opponent.

Well, this was really hard to judge with your opponents excellent rock work and your great wall texturing. You both also had some areas that I think you could have improved on. This was close but in the end your opponent get my vote. Good luck with the other judges.

This was a very close one as both of your entries were excellent on their own merit. Yours had some very nice texturing and a wonderful dress design for Buttercup. I also liked the use of the upside down cheese on the window. On the other hand, your build seemed a bit repetitive with it all being mostly the same colors (aside from the stained glass windows) and the color distribution on the walls could perhaps be refined a bit more. Speaking of the stained glass window...it seemed a bit chaotic. While it's a nice addition to break up all the stonework, if it had some sort of design or picture and had some different texture (the 1x1 rounds stacked leaves the grooves in between them which aren't particularily appealing; cheese slopes might be better) it would be a much superior representation. Other than that, there's not much to add other than that the upside down cheese, while adding a nice technique, is unnecessary as it could be replaced by 2 1x3 inverted slopes. Overall the MOC is very good, but I'm afraid my vote must go to your opponent for his more convincing design and colors. Good luck with the other judges!

Hello lady! :P Thanks! My dad had said that I should put this in the entry "I do not except accuses! I'll just have to find myself a new giant!" (since Fezzik failed to catch her), but I forgot to put it in there. :(
