Beelzebufo commissioned by Bright Bricks - the certified Lego professionals from the UK. It will form part of the Lego Lost World Zoo for Milestones Museum in Basingtstoke, UK. I have built several creatures for the show which I will post over the next few weeks.
The client wanted 10 small extinct creatures to be hidden amongst the Museumís permanent displays for the visitors to find (similar to a treasure hunt). I had free reign to pick which creatures I wanted to build as long as they were real life prehistoric creatures. For my second creature I decided to build this late cretaceous carnivorous frog.
Discovered in Madagascar and first classified in 2007. Similar to modern day Horned Toads but much larger (up to 40cms long).

Cool build, Joe. What an honor. I like the shaping and the mouth is great. Also nice work on the eyes. It's almost like those pieces were meant to be frog eyes, they fit so well. Great work!
Thanks Tim. I am now working for them full time, and getting paid for it - I can't believe my luck. :D
Haha you definitely want to keep you fingers (and your tongue) away from this guy unless you want to take a 'trip' to the hospital ;). @ LBj - don't worry I am planning a few car builds but I am so busy building for work now that I will struggle to produce personal builds. @ everyone - thanks for the comments, I have 3 more small creatures to post then I will start posting the huge builds I have been working on, I can't wait to show you.
May I lick it? XD Although, it doesn't appear that this particular frog would enjoy the experience. Great little guy here, Joe. Love his teeth and of course those hypnotic eyes. But his shaping is truly wonderful. Excellent!
I'm not sure if it looks happy or evil in the last photo. I had to do rummaging online to discover that frogs really do have teeth (I thought that they didn't) but toads don't. I still not sure if this beast is cute or scary but would probably keep my fingers away if I met it.
Thanks guys @ sam - great I will find you later. @ Ape - haha dont look into his eyes. @ SS - I like his back legs too, you can extent them but I forgot to take a photo. @ Rhys - thanks mate see you on Monday.
