I'm thinking of stopping including descriptions on MOCpages. You can read Khaati's history on his Custom BIONICLE Wiki page.

Khaati is the first character that I ever made for the BIONICLE storyline, way back in July when I had just joined MOCpages. I never built him in physical form until this January, as an excuse to dismantle my alternate Solek, a MOC that I had grown attached to. The first version was built more for experimentation than quality, and I didn't post it.
However, when the time came for me to revisit the past and build Jethryn's former Toa Team, Khaati was back on my building list.

On the lower legs, I once again used Inika shoulders, a piece that is great for both custom limb structure and outer detail. I also made use of some of my 13 or so Matoran limbs as his ankles. A bit of a tough fit, but it works. Also, he has a Hero Factory foot attached to an Inika foot.

The upper legs use my typical style, with a ball-socket rotated to a more humanoid range of movement. Not much to talk about its construction.

The torso does have waist articulation, but it's mostly restricted by the torso's shape. I used two more Matoran limbs here for shoulders, and clawed elements for a samurai-inspired skirt.

Back, with the Aerial Pressure Grenade (AKA Thornax fruit) bandolier. The design comes from Chro's Tyralo..

The upper arms are based around a Matoran/Bohrok foot, with a Great Mahiki attached as armor. One of the more notable elements from the experimental V1. He originally had these constructs as his upper legs, but the shaping of the masks didn't give him much posability that way, so I moved them up to the shoulders (and the hand pieces I had used as shoulder armor down to the hips.)
Lower arms aren't my strong point. In Khaati's case, made a rather simple construct... that required two highly useful pieces, the CAM and the balljoint bushing.

The head. Since this character's mask plays an important role in my fanon, I didn't want to just use a standard mask. After experimenting with several different designs, I ended up with this mask.

Brandishing his primary weapon, the dual air blade.

He can sorta cross his arms.

Throwing a grenade...

With Onadus.

With X.
Well that's it for now! Please rate, comment, and be on the lookout for the second member of the team... which will hopefully be up in the next few days.

Quoting Kermunklin the Giant Evil House Head I was never a huge fan of most of the Bionicle stuff, but this guy looks really terrific and formidable. I personally would never have thought of putting dark green and gold together, but obviously it looks fantastic. Also, love the gear mouth!
If this guy, who is supposed to be a hero, looks terrifying and formidable, then I'll look forward to hearing what you think of the villains. :P Thanks for the comment.

Pretty swanky. That dark green and gold go together perfectly.

Cool! I never get your designs though. They all seem to have random parts thrown into them but somehow you manage to make them fit into the color scheme and then it looks cool. :D
