Chropter, Beetle Flyer
For round 4 of the SMoT. Don't stand a chance. But at least I had time to get it done.
About this creation
Finally got this thing done. I know it's not good enough to win, especially not against Chro, but hey, at least I tried. And ok, so the photos are terrible. Curse you simple uploader and blurry pictures!

Dat bug.

Spin props, spin!! MWUAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!

The back propellers fold up when not in use.

So, I didn't put in a pilot... but at least the cockpit is there XD And it's definitely big enough for a minifig.

Comparison to Mags, of course.

Umm.... Mags. I don't think it fits...

The end.

Creator's Comments: First off, yes, all three props spin from the one gear in back. Had fun designing that. That is actually my first ever real attempt at play functions like that. REALLY happy with how it turned out considering that.
I wanted to say more, but actually, I think I'll just let this guy stand on his own. Not like I'm passing on to the next round anyway XD

See ya later guys!

Like L.A., I at first thought it didn't look much like Chro, but then I took a closer look. You used the Skrall armor piece that is Chro's mask right there in the front, like a mount. Same color scheme and similar color distribution, though excluding the gold from his weapons. If you had some trans-light blue HF plates rather than the bright green then it would have served your purposes better, Chro's eyes be light blue. The Prop function is great, I like how you thought to give it a total of three rather than the usual one or two, and using the metru torso to achieve your goals was clever. The decor gears on the top prop though, I think you could do without the upper two, or gotten some smaller gears to put on there.

Followed from Chro's link to you here, Gale, and this is AWESOME. I'm a Gimmick-junkie, and the spin-mechanic you incorporated is wicked! GREAT creation!

Doesn't look to much like Chro in my opinion... Obviously for a copter it looks a lot like him, but the category was a bit weird... Or probably is due to the triple combiner of Chro, Beetle and Helicopter, I'm not sure... Anyways, it's such an original entry, and you know I love originality <3 Even if I miss some of that Glatorian lower leg armor that Chro uses in the design, you have used a lot of limbs and Inika torsos for the design so magnificently that it's just a small detail I can ignore xD Love the shape you give to it using only BIONICLE parts the most, even more than that wonderful -but strange- mechanism! Marvelous work, dear. Good luck with the contest!

Quoting [ Chro ] I know what you deal with in terms of time constraints, being busy, et cetera... great job considering the circumstances. I do feel like the build suffered slightly for the sake of the gear function. However, that said, the spinning props are awesome... and in terms of creativity, your entry blows mine out of the water. Good luck. I think you might beat me here.
Yeah, my life filled up faster than it normally does this time, and I had to quick build this entirely from scratch in about a total of 4 to 6 hours. And I agree, the build did suffer a bit because of the gear function, but honestly I'm pretty happy that it didn't suffer any more than it did. Thanks Ben, good luck to you as well :)
