This is a part of a project which has taken way longer than expected. Half a year! it took me about 6 months(started around September 2013 and finished early February 2014) to build this and it is only a part of the project, which will include another mech and some military vehicles. Although I am very pleased with the outcome of this mech. Compared to the previous mechs that I have built this one was built with a focus on articulation over looks, and the end result is a total of 46 points of articulation! and I believe that it is a high count for a ~20 cm/~8 inch tall figure.
The reason as to why I started this project is because I started to watch a lot of Gundam, and suddenly I felt the urge to make new mechs. I have no idea as of when this project will finish as I sort of want to take a break from it, but I am sure that I shall finish it.
This post has a lot of pictures because I want to go though this models articulation properly. I have thought of making a video shoving of the articulation, but I don't
have a camera that is good at making films.

And now for the articulation
Around the shoulder there is a great range of movement because there is a double ball-joint. The arm can stretch forwards:
The inner ball-joint makes the arm able to rotate 360 degrees.
The arm can go all the way out to the side:

The elbow has a double joint, so that it can do a 180 degree bend:
This is the second design for the hands, but compared to the previous design these have less movement but more stability. The hands look good opened and closed when holding an item. They do not look good as closed fists because of the lack of joints in the fingers.
Here is the previous hand design. the main problem with it was that most of it was built with the robot hands and they are good for small joint but they are just too loose, so whenever I tried placing an item in the hands thy would give in to the weight.
This was the last area to be finished, because I had a hard time deciding which kind of style I would go for. in the beginning I had planned to make it fit a minifigure, but it would result in the torso looking too large in proportion to the limbs.
From the front it bends at almost 90 degrees.
But not nearly as much backwards.
To the side it can bend just past 90 degrees:
this is the joint that holds the sword holster. Originally I had made two of them, but I had to remove one because of weight issues.
To me this is one of the more important parts of the mech, since I wanted the legs to have a double-joint so that they could bend 180 degrees and I also wanted a sliding part so that there would not be a gap when the legs were bent. Because of that I started working on the knees and after that I built the rest of the legs. but the first knee design was not strong enough to support the mech, so a had to build new ones.

These are the two knee designs I built: the new one to the left and the old one(my favourite) to the right. the problem with the old one was that it used the robot hands for the joints, so it was really weak.

these feet have a surprising amount of movability and they are quite stable. It did take a while to build these since they would have to rely on hinges and sliding, because it wasn't until this year that the small ball-joints came and as of now they are not available in black.

Both of the rabbit ears/antennas move:
Since the rabbit ears/antennas do not move with the head when looking upwards or downwards, it gives an interesting effect when looking straight at the face.
The sword holster
I tried to build it as slim as possible, but I could not make thinner than two studs.
And inside the sword holster there is: A sword!
