The church of the holy order of St. Legostino in the Legondie near the Legogne.
About this creation
In the year of the Lord 1095, pope Urban II in Clermont called for a crusade to free the holy land. So the master of the holy order of Legostino summoned his knights and monks in order to secure the joy of all believers in the holy grounds: with beer!

Unfortunately master Legostino the 22nd could only call for the big honour of fighting in the holy land as the day after he fell into a coma. It was too much of a party for the old man and his love for the yellow golden drink became fatal to him. Now he is freed to fill his stomach with as much of that beer as he wants. The king and some knights gathered at the church to pay their last respect to the one and only who organized so many booze-ups.

In the church there is a secret path everybody knows about ;-). It leads right to the middle of the mountain to the crypt where St. Legostino himself lies in the tomb.

Meanwhile in the church the liturgy is being held. The funeral is ongoing acompanied by the Gregorian Chants of the monks of the order. The light of the sun going down spreads through the only window made of glass.

The king is highly inspired, drunk as always. The statue of the holy Legostino shows him brewing beer. The tale has been told over and over again about Legostino being in Egypt having learned how to brew beer there and having brought the recepe back to the Legondie. At least the confssions room is empty during this funeral.

Its time to bring the sarcophagus of the Master of the order through the gate. Oh no. Some forestmen are hiding out on a tree looking for a chance to murder the new Master of the holy order.

While the sarcophagus is being carried out of the church the liturgy inside is almost over. All people are following the former Master on his last journey to his grave. Even brother Bart is within the monks.

Watch out wizzard of bats, you are not welcome here. Nobody wants to have you here. Not even the poor monk writing the chronicles.

Showing the features of the church. Why did I even build it? It is a test building for the main moc: The lonely monastery of the holy Legostino. This will be (like the church) a romanic style building of the dark middle ages. Maybe twice as big as the church with a lot of fine extras. While building the church I learned a lot that inspired me for the monastery. I only do not know what to build first (and next). The monastery or Chimera Station. Give me your opinion in your review: what shall I build next?

Very clean and well coloured design! The interior has some very inspiring features, I love the coffin especially. The cliff it is based on is done well, isn't over the top and looks natural, I like the lower surrounds as well, helps to break up the whole feature, great MOC, great story! H§

Awesome work! Nice features all round but I especially like the great minifig details, such as the hunchback in the bell tower. This MOC was mentioned on Classic Castle here - http://www.classic-castle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11656
