WOW... I wish i had the skill you guys have when it comes to building, all of you are my favorite builders and always overdue yourselves with your lego creations! If I had at least some of the skill you guys do I would definitely put it to good use! ;D GOOD JOB GUYS!!!
Boy was this a tough round to judge! You and Li Li gave us a top-notch finale to this awesome competition, and taking home the silver medal is nothing to sneeze at. I love the action-oriented approach that you took in your build. The piece feels very kinetic. You've also nicely represented conflict in your diametrical composition, and used a great color palate and piece selection *cougholivecheesecough.* I judged this round in the context of the rest of your entries, and just going back to look at your previous work gave me such an appreciation for the stamina that it takes to continue producing quality builds for so long. So while my vote will be going to Li Li for many of the reasons already given by the other judges, thank you for making this year's MELO such a delight to watch and to judge. I'm already looking forward to next year!
It's my honor to have you as an opponent for the final round. Just like you, I never thought I would make it this far at the start. Back to the moc, the eye is amazing, and your rock work has been solid through out the competition. Thank you.
Well gentlemen, you certainly didn't disappoint! This has been an eye-opening final Round and I thank you both for your effort! But now to determine the winner: in my opinion, both builds are pretty much equal in terms of skill displayed and as recreations of their respective DOS scenes. Therefore to decide whom to vote for I had to look beyond just the bricks. While your build is excellent Kw Vauban, Li Li gets my vote for better overall appearance/composition. Beautiful work nonetheless!
Oh my goodness. Wow. Wow. Wow.You guys are amazing. I wish I had half the skill you both displayed in your entires. The techniques and piece use here is amazing, and I especially love the eye of Sauron. In the end, I had to pick only one though, and my vote goes to Li Li. I prefered his entry because it was a bit more complete, yours was wonderful but I found the other parts included a bit distracting from the rest of the build. Good luck with the othern judges!
WOW WOW WOW. While it is only fitting that the final round should be tough to judge, this is beyond difficult. KW, your build captures the motion of collapsing pillars, dilapidated stone, and swirling darkness. Your opponent's build on the other hand re-creates the marvelous CGI of the woodland elves' realm. His build features superb architectural details, building techniques, and a unique composition. In the end, Li Li gets my vote. Thanks for playing! Good luck with the other judges!
Well, what a contest fellas! It was a spectacular pleasure to watch you both climb through your brackets. Sadly, there can only be one winner. If it were up to me, you would both walk away with the crown having both whipped up some brilliant builds. As it is, I must choose between two brilliant creations. KW, you did a great job replicating the rough and destroyed look of Dol Guldur. Li Li, the elven architecture you created is just perfect for the atmosphere. Of the two builds though, I felt that Li-Li's had overall better aesthetics, structural complexity, and showed greater skill in the build. Therefore, he gets my vote. Congratulations to you both for making it here, and good luck with the other judges!
Seeing as though you haven't seen the movie yet (at least, I think you haven't), you have done a masterful job of recreating this scene without the privilege of seeing it (though you've probably seen pictures of the scene). You have captured the ruined and evil feel to Dol Guldor perfectly! Good luck!
