Normally I just build trucks but I took the challenge and built a hot rod.
About this creation

I'm also a member of the Lugnuts group on Flickr. I always wanted to join one of the monthly challenges but I never did (time pressure, to less time to figure out something new). The 75th challenge was pretty nice; you ask for an assignment and someone else gives you one.

My submission for the 75th Lugnut's Challenge, assigned by Peteris Sprogis. I got the assignment to build this overpowered 1927 Ford. It has two V8 engines and four superchargers. I tried to put as many detail in it as I could with the limited pieces I had (I didn't want to take apart one of my current MOCs of course). I also wanted to align it a bit with set 5541 but a red interior doesn't fit I think. Tan looks much better. An empty car wasn't what I actually wanted to build and that's why I put a driver in it. It looks a bit like a cartoon car now.
However it's something different than the large trucks I build normally it was fun building! Maybe I should try this more often.

A couple of more pictures can be viewed in my Flickr Stream.

This is so awesome! The driver really is an amazing detail, especially the scarf waving in the wind at those ridicolous speeds.

Thanks guys! It's a real existing car; just watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UexiOL8I_3Y It's based on this one and the majority of the details I put in. As said it's my first own built hot rod ever. But in some way it looks a bit like set 5541.

Wow, that's awesome, such a cool Hot Rod! I can almost hear the roaring V8s and the whistling superchargers. The driver is some extra fun! Great job! :-))

Wow!!!! This is a hot one. Look at the size of that engine. Great looking. I'm glad you added a figure to the vehicle. Is that a scarf flapping in the wind?

I like cartoon cars (and tried to draw them) And that's the reason why I like this one too. It's outstanding! ;)

A cool hot-rod, I hope the chassis doesnīt bend under the massive V8 weight :-) . Itīs a funny expression that the driver has on his face, he really struggles to hang on.
