I've always admired MOCers who could pack a lot of detail into microscale projects. It's especially difficult to accurately model a real-world subject in a tiny Lego package. I don't usually work in microscale, so I thought it'd be a fun challenge to build some mini airliners because you see a lot of military aircraft MOCs but few commercial jets.
I tried to put as much detail and playability in each model as I could, while keeping them fairly realistic in a small scale. One feature that was absolutely necessary for me to include was retractable landing gear. I had far too many toy airplanes as a kid that were stuck with the landing gear fixed down! How often do you see a commercial jet cruising at 35,000 feet with the landing gear lowered? So naturally, in order to swoosh my toy planes around, I snapped the landing gear off - which was all well and good until they needed to land! Too many passengers complaining of rough belly landings forced me to find a solution, which I've included in each of these models.
Each model is under 200 pieces (not including ground equipment and accessories), and they are not necessarily to scale with one another.
