About this creation
Link to the MocAthalon homepage.

The once-mighty city of Egaar Jabdala, the capital of the Mandil, has fallen into ruin. A decapitated statue lies by its pedestal, surrounded by squalor and decay. Slowly crumbling into dust, the buildings face the ravages of time.

Isn't backstory great?

I was thinking through some ideas after I got this category, and my brother suggested I build the ruins of Pompeii, since I have a lot of light bley pieces. So I did some searching on that new-fangled interweb, but didn't really find any pictures of Pompeii that I liked. Anyway, I decided to just build a ruin and give it some spin. And here it is. Boo-yah.

C&CC appreciated!
Soli Deo Gloria!

Hi Kevin, pretty nice execution with your creation. However, the idea slightly bothers me. It is one thing if you are placing bricks out in certain spots to create a certain look and another thing if you are just dumping bricks out. Despite whether or not you are actually did that, it certainly looks that way. Though as I said, for the idea, you didn't execute it too bad. Score: 2

In some places it king of looks like a bunch of scattered pieces maybe some more connections instead of just scattering the pieces would have helped. Still looks great though and really evokes the ruined theme. Score: 3

Thanks, everyone!
Quoting Mr. Cab Nice! There are many loose pieces, but that gives the moc a special feel...
Yeah. It would look pretty bad with all the pieces pressed down. The vast majority of pieces in this are just barely secured.
