M4A3E8 "Easy Eight" and M36 "Jackson" revisited
A while ago I made models of the M4A3E8 Sherman and M36 Jackson (slugger at the time), but they were horrible by my current standards. I remade both so they fit my current building scale (like my pershing).
About this creation
I won't even link to the old models, I'm really ashamed of them and I want them buried forever. Instead, have these two in shiny new renders!

The rear. Finally, M35 recieves the big turret it deserves!

Engines with hatches!!! WOOOoooooo... yeah. The Shermans' rear is really awesome because the body is 9 studs wide and the hatches match up and meed in the middle.

and I'm proud to present my very first diorama!! In case you didn't notice, it's a ruined city. It's all in one colour because war is depressing like that. Also note the working suspension on the M36.

and for even more surprises, all these pictures and more are available in my Flickr set!
All in 1920*1080 FullHD resolution (some more) and they make excellent wallpapers.

I hope you enjoyed these models, feel free to like, comment and visit my homepage!

Quoting Jerry Temple Wow. Just. WOW. It's hard for me to even explain how beautiful this MOC is!!! Much improved from your older models! Too bad you aren't posting your Cromwell, it's my favorite tank (in real life, haven't gotten it added yet on WoT Xbox)
Thanks! I have my little cromwell-on-a-truck on flickr, but my next tank is probably going to be a comet. So not too far from a cromwell ;)

Quoting Dr. Monster Great tanks. The hull shaping is super and the details are terrific.
Thanks! Although there isn't as much detail as I'd like there to be, mostly because of the small scale. It's minifig scale, at least it's supposed to be.

Quoting killswitch95 [DEMON] @ tommy, no the E8 and E2 had wider tracks than the normal sherman/M10 hulls to help reduce ground pressure
This is correct. The M4A3E8 series of shermans got a new suspension and track system, while the M36 was still built on old M4A2 chassis.
Quoting killswitch95 [DEMON] @alex i seen your cromy and truck, when you gonna post your cromy hmmmmm?
I'm not gonna post that, it's nothing special. I'll make a Comet though! Also, thanks everyone for your nice comments (especially florida shooter and nathan and Cade, the fellow tank builders)!

nice clean renderings of these two beauts. And isn't it always a big sigh of relief when things line up in a build and really make it all come together!

Outstanding updates Alex! A builder's scale is what sets up all of their other builds. Nothing is wrong with the larger tanks, yours included. My son and I thought your originals were outstanding as well. But like you said, they fit better with your Pershing. :) My first tank was our StuG III. All of our vehicles and tanks were based off of it. Once you have a size/scale you prefer to build with, I think it helps you design everything else. :) Well done.

Quoting killswitch95 [DEMON] im so sorry to say alex, but i love your first sherman, it captured it so well, i feel like this sherman is a step back :( lucky for me i still have it in my LDD folders, so ill keep it forever!
It was mostly about the Jackson anyway, I agree that the old M4 was pretty okay. Main problem with the old models is that they were both too big, but now they're in scale with my Pershing and Tiger models.
