About this creation
2014 MOCathalon
Team Durin's Folk
Category: Pair Dare
Select two specific kinds of pieces (for example: the 1x2 brick and the jumper-plate) and then create a MOC using ONLY those two specific parts. Feel free to use multiple colors of those bricks but they must be ONLY those two bricks. Choose wisely!

The two pieces that I chose were the two by four brick and the sloped one by one (or cheese slope). I really wanted to give my build for this category a lot of detail, and I though that the cheese slope would be perfect for that. Also, in case you were wondering the name is not a coincidence, it is taken from the classic song; The House of the Rising Sun. In fact, I even devised a little song that goes along with the song. :P

There is, a shrine, that was built, for the MA,
It's the Shrine, of the Rising Sun.
It is built, of many, two by fours,
And sloped, one, by ones.

Thank you for viewing and God bless!

Fraser, nice idea but unfortunately I do not believe that this was very well executed. There are too many too colors and things going on in this creation to have some actual unity. In turn, your creation looks very discombobulated and honestly all over the place, especially the different colors. Score: 1

Quoting Matthew Oh Score = Very high 2. I really like the mosaic, but the rest of the build is to colored and, like Justin, hard to tell. But the mosaic is great!
Thanks Matthew.

Quoting Gerald F. My this is sweet!!! The entire moc is fantastic, but wow there's still so much emfasis to give to the beautifully crafted atained glass design in the middle. I've given this type of mosaic a try before and i must admit I hate making them, but they always turn out so good despite screwing up sometimes. You've done an amazing job! Keep On Brickin'!
Thank you so much for all of the positive feedback!
