Micro Truck Transformer – An Entry To The ’15 Piece Vehicle Challenge’
Quite honestly, I never expected a 15 piece limit to be so hard. I mean, I build micro-formers all the time, right? Well, the piece cap was actually quite difficult. I’m probably not going to win, but who cares. At least I tried. Better to enter and suck than to sit on the side lines and watch. That, of course, applies to what you can do. I cannot build Bio-Mocs to save my life, however, so I didn’t enter the MOC revamp contest. Oh well, never mind. Anyway, this truck is a fully-transformable one, for those who don’t know how I do things around here. No removal of parts is necessary; all the parts move without being detached. Anyway, enjoy. :)

Anyway, here we have this un-named robot in his vehicle mode. I didn’t make him an Autobot or a Decepticon because he’s just a contest entry. Or she. Not sure of the gender either.

Here’s a view from the back.

As the rules state, here’s the obligatory shot of all the pieces (although there really is no need, because LDD has a parts counter in the bottom-left-hand corner.

To make it easier to see, here’s the ‘special background’. I don’t often use it, but whatever.

As I usually do, here’s a gif showing the transformation.

And here we have random-bot in his robot mode!

I chose this colour scheme because orange is a colour I don’t use often.

Just a view from the back.

To finish off, here’s a size comparison with a Hero Factory guy I built for the heck of it. Anyway, that’s it for the main part of the entry.

Here’s some bonus photos of the IRL prototypes I based the LDD on.

The arms are actually meant to go this way in the vehicle mode, but LDD wouldn’t let me for some reason.

The robot mode looks exactly the same compared to the LDD from the front…

…and from the back.

Anyway, here’s a size comparison with Spectre Version 2. The reason I chose Spectre as a comparison will tie in with what’s below…

So, you may be wondering what’s going on below. Well, for those people who’ve been my fans for a while, they’ll know who Spectre is. Anyway, I’m actually taking a 3D Animation course at a private college, and we had to make a robotic character. I thought it would be cool to make a proper version of Spectre (not a Lego one). So, as ‘bonus features’ each time I update the character, I’ll show you my progress. So far, I’ve modelled the top part. All I need to model is the lower torso and the legs. And yes, it will transform.
