About this creation
2014 MocAthalon

Team: The Last Brickbenders

Category:Under the sea: Whether its fish submarines or underwater landscapes; build us something that is under the sea. (Someone please build a Kraken!)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to Ithaa, the world's one and only Underwater restaurant. Tired of boring old dinners with the same old views from the same old windows of the same old restaurants? Then come enjoy a meal at Ithaa. We offer views that cannot be matched, atmosphere that will have you in awe and meals cooked by our specially trained team of chefs. Come on out and enjoy a meal, stay for the view and leave with you wallet significantly lighter ;)

The Ithaa is an actual restaurant in the Maldives and the MocAthalon category fit it perfectly. The actual cost of a meal at the restaurant is $500 a couple... Think of all the LEGO you could buy with that!

Anyways, hope that you enjoy!

What a brilliant idea... Excellent designs all around, and I really like the SBD torso as an anchor even if it doesn't look very realistic. :P

Tim, most excellent work here. The topic you have chosen is great for category. Some of details, such as the lamps at the tables and the power/electric wires, were fantastic. Score: 5

This is excellent! Exactly what I would hope for if I could afford to go to an underwater restaurant ;) I particularly love the sunken ship, and of course, the curved glass ceiling! Way to start the competition off strong :)

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I don't think I've ever gotten so many comments in such a short time. Good luck to everyone else who is participating in the Mocathalon!

Quoting JS Can Wonderful build! I'd love to see a close up on the curved glass ceiling.
The glass ceiling is just clear 1X2 bricks with stacks of 3 1X1 round tiles alternated. I thought I'd make my team name proud by using brickbending in the first MOC

Quoting LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist This is gorgeous... Beautifully well built, makes me the $500 for a meal is pretty reasonable.
Thankk you! I don't know about the meal though.... I'd much rather have a Lego UCS Executor : D

Quoting david drake very nice architectural achievement with the barrel shaped underwater restaurant, but the best part, as with most MOCs of any significant size, is the bevy of little details, like the little crab and the sand eels. Excellent work on this one and best of luck in the MOCathalon
0.o sand eels.....? I didn't even know that I put those in there XD. Glad that you liked it!

That anchor. Really creative, It looks really great!

Score = 5 (thought 'outside the box' in a way and the super-battle-droid torso as anchor made it)
