The F-4E was the first Phantom variant to receive an integral gun, in this case the nose mounted GE M61A1 6-barreled 20mm cannon in an underslung fairing in a new longer nose housing a new radar. The F-4E was also the first to receive leading edge slats, greatly improving maneuverability. The F-4E was the definitive Phantom variant for the US Air Force and saw extensive export to foreign operators, and served as the basis for the F-4EJ, F-4EJ Kai, F-4F, and F-4E Kurnass. This model represents an early F-4E in typical SE Asia camoflauge scheme for service over Vietnam.
Excellent render, the integration of color is excellent. I was wondering if you would be interested in selling the instructions? My brother is a former F-4 pilot and would like one to display. Just let me know, thank you.
