2014 Mocathalon

Different Angles of the cabin.

The front of the cabin. Notice the perch for the parrot and the armchair.

I really like how the palm tree turned out.

The interior of the Cabin. Notice the swords in display and the endless supply of rum to fulfil the pirates drinking needs.

Just another shot.

Thats it! I hope you enjoyed my creation and good luck everyone participating in the Mocathalon.

Quoting Brick Madness Good build! but I think some more interior would definitely have gone a long way!
Thanks for the advice. In hindsight I now see I should have added more interior cleanness which would have helped my build, but oh well now I know.

A very nice build with some nice little details on the cabin. The palm tree did for me. Nicely done.

Quoting Halhi 141 Take a look at the tile patterns here (look at the directions of the tiles and how they're arranged; ignore the two different colors if you only have one shade): http://www.mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=354085&id=/user_images/46434/1361017018m I think they could really add a lot of realism rather than the repetitiveness of this technique. And maybe some shading with different colors (black, grey, blue, light blue, etc) under the tiles would look nice too. Great build by the way, and good luck.
Thanks a lot for the great advice. I'll be making a brick order for the pieces i'm short of and I'll definitely include that shade of blue. Thanks again for the advice.

Timothy, good effort on your build. Some more details and overall cleanness would have done your MOC some favors. Also, your water could have been built much better even with the translucent light blue piece you already used. Score: 2

Ouch a 2? You're the judge I guess though how could I have made the water better using the same pieces?

Awesome! I agree that the roof could have used a bit more work, but everything else looks great! The house and interior looks awesome, that tree looks really great, and e calm water looks nice too. Great job, and keep em' coming!

Some tile or SNOT for the floor woulda bumped it up but still a strong build. Score of 3. ~ Chris.

Nice work! I think you could've added some more details to the roof, and maybe add some tiling on the floor as well! Anyway, good luck with your other builds :)
