There was an old House in the country which sat near a canal which fed from a Lake. The House passed from generation to generation till.....Nice start. Don't you think?
About this creation
The old House fell in to foreclosure and was taken over by the bank. It was bought out by an investment group which turned it into a Bed and Breakfast. It was named the E Z Rest. In the meantime, the suburbanites discovered the Lake and built a community around it. The houses were not as ornate as the E Z Rest, but the residents didn't care. They just wanted to live near the Lake. Hence the name, K.I.S.S. Lake Village.

In order to build the E Z Rest, I used parts from two Lego sets, the Burroughs and the Brown Cabin. There are details on all four sides. I do not believe in plain backs. There is a large balcony in the front. The owner likes to stand on the balcony and view the Lake and all the activity in the Village. Located on the side is the chimney. There is something different about this chimney. The smokestacks are not on the roof but on the side of the building.

Lets take a look inside. The E Z Rest opens from the back. It was a little difficult to shoot the inside, but I think the pictures turned out alright. The E Z Rest has all the accommodations. Continental Breakfast, free WI-FI, a roaring fireplace, a reading room, and comfy beds. There is a downside. In order to get to the second floor, the guests must climb a ladder. Since the buildings in Village are bathroom challenged, the E Z Rest has a bathroom, which can only be gotten to by climbing another ladder.

On the upside the E Z Rest bathroom does have a nice view.

Cool B&B! I love that ladder pieces are used as the railing on the inside. I've never seen that done before. The grounds look nice and relaxing. I want to spend a quiet weekend there! The ladder to the bathroom is slightly diabolical, however. Not as diabolical as no bathroom at all, though.

Quoting LegoJediMaster . Wow, at first i was like ehh, a house but then when you opened it up, i was like wow, thats amazing
I know. Houses or buildings seem to get the short end on Mocpages. Go to Explore, most popular of all time, and you will see space craft, cars and guns. The most popular building doesn't show up till page 3. Matija Grguric's Falling Water and one of Mike Doyle's abandoned houses is there. Nevertheless, thanks for viewing and commenting.

Quoting Gerald F. I can't believe I missed this. What a sweet dose of cozyness and activity you've brought into the house! I love it's surrounding yard and its features! The interior decorating is superb! An overall loveable build! Keep On Brickin'!
Thanks for the nice comment. It took a while to build. The most difficult part was the roof. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Quoting Builder Allan Nice! A well done cabin, i very much like the interior. It makes me think of a vacation i had in norway long ago. The outside details are very nice too, the architecture looks a bit austrian and the vine stretching up the wall on the back gives life to the rear of the build. The shot with the whole village looks great too :-)
Thanks for the compliment. When I completed the E Z Rest, I showed it to my husband. He said it looked European.

Quoting ~ Calvin ~ The interior looks amazing! I suggeset you try and make your own trees, it would make it look MUCH better. This MOC is so under-rated.
Thank you for the comment. Actually E Z Rest was built 2 1/2 years ago. Long before I had tree parts. My first tree was for Spring Time, then Hobbit House, and Trimming the Tree. I plan on doing more trees in the future.

Thank you. Actually, E Z Rest was one of the last structures to be built. But in the story, it had to be the first house near the lake.
