After proving itself in the jugles of Vietnam, the legendary Huey helicopter received a facelift during the early 70's. The result was the twin engined UH-1N, aply named the "twin huey", which quickly replaced its predecessor as the backbone of the United States Marine Corps
About this creation

In the jungles of Vietnam, the UH-1 Huey had proven itself to be a tough as nails workhorse helicopter, that could be relied on in many roles. However, in the early 70's, it was in need of a replacement. Relying on the old saying "If it aint broke, don't fix it", the Corps opted to build upon the battle tested and hardened Huey design.

The result was the improved twin engine design of the UH-1N "Twin Huey". It could be fitted with Hydras and miniguns and go on the offensive, or sweep low and fast over the terrain as a transport. A multi-purpose helicopter with the ability to take on almost any role. Over the past few decades, the Twin Huey has been altered and updated, but it still holds its place as a legendary helicopter, that well carried on the legacy set by its ancestor.
